Daniel Dvoress was born 1988 in Russia and immigrated to Canada at the age of 8. His childhood was not the most ordinary, as he was homeschooled while living in Moscow, so after moving, he was two heads above all others in math. During the initial stage of immigration, he faced a language barrier, but his mother, who had an excellent command of English, tutored him, allowing Daniel to get friends and a normal social life.

He started playing poker in high school in November 2006 under the nickname “Oxota” on PokerStars and “Oxotaments” on Full Tilt Poker.
