WSOPC Tallinn: Recap 19/9 

Waking up this morning, we hade quite the exciting day of live poker looking forward to! The first day of the €1 500 Main Event, the conclusion of the €660 Mystery Bounty, and the beautiful €555 Eight Game were the three WSOPC Ring Events to follow. Let’s summarize what we’ve been through, as this WSOPC day is coming to an end! 

The Main Event Takes Off!

On this beloved Tuesday, the first flight of the €1 500 Main Event attracted 139 players, who sought to survive ten levels before qualifying for day 2 which will be played Friday. 63 players managed this feat and bagged their chips, with Finland’s Joni Rantamäki topping the list with 272 000. 

Battle of the Bounty! 

The €660 Mystery Bounty continued play today with 25 players. They would lose five players before being ITM. It went fairly quickly down to the final table of eight, who would all compete for the WSOPC Ring. The Mystery Envelopes were also introduced during this day, with the biggest one holding a €10 000 paycheck.

After Heads Up against Japan’s Yusuke Tanaka, it was the Estonian Ranno Sootlawho took home the ring, the first-place prize of €10 000, as well as a handful of envelopes. Quite the pay day for the birthday boy! 

All Night Long Eight Game Action

The €555 Eight Game tournament kicked off at 14:00, and after the late registration, a total 79 players had entered the tournament. As of right now, 43players are still in. They will play until a winner is crowned tonight or, if the final players agree, play the final table tomorrow at 21:00. Swedens Mikael “Greenbay” Grönvik is currently the chip leader.
