WSOP.com and GGPoker Partner Once Again

WSOP 2020 online schedule - WSOP.com and GGPoker

GGPoker just wrapped up a highly-successful WSOP Online Circuit Event, which saw $134,706,274 in tournaments prizes and 485,851 entries. The WSOP Online Circuit Main Event itself drew a staggering 10,000 entrants to the tables with $1.2M top prize. Clearly, these two organisations make a stellar partnership for the poker world.

So, on July 1, the 51st Word Series of Poker will commence in a completely new online format. There will be a total of 85 gold bracelets to win over the course of two months. WSOP Nevada and NJ players can play for an exclusive gold bracelet every day in July on WSOP.com. Then on July 19, all international players can join and try their luck for the remaining 54 bracelets on GGPoker.

Ty Stewart, WSOP Exec Director, says [they] “couldn’t be more excited about deepening our relationship with GGPoker and watching some history unfold online this summer.”

WSOP 2020 Tournament Series: Details

Main GGPoker WSOP 2020 Facts:

Like the WSOP Online Circuit, GGPoker’s WSOP events schedule will have different buy-in levels and formats. Surely, this schedule will cater to a wide variety of WSOP online poker players. However, we know we’ll have to do without 5-Card Draw and 7-Card Stud as these variants aren’t available at GGPoker.

Steve Preiss, GGPoker Head of Poker Operations says “We’re excited to create bracelet events that the worldwide poker community will embrace, as well as innovative programming with PokerGo.”

As usual, the WSOP online tournament will offer live streamers extensive coverage on WSOP events via Poker Central. They’re the World Series of Poker’s official production partner and plan to create original festival content. Including not just live streams, but also highlights, and pilot episodes geared for traditional television distribution. Poker Central will also schedule virtual “bracelet ceremonies” and interviews with WSOP Bracelet winners.

“There’s nothing in the world like winning a WSOP bracelet,” said GGPoker ambassador, Daniel Negreanu. “Bringing this experience online will open the door for a new generation of poker players to feel the rush of competing for the game’s biggest prize.”
