This Monday the Main Event of The Festival Online finished on 888poker with the Argentinian player Pbustos14 winning the Final Table in spectacular fashion. The victory that awarded him more than 26,000 Dollars wasn’t the only big story of the first Festival Online edition, but certainly the most memorable one.

The story of Pbustos14 winning the Main Event Final Table is nothing but stunning. After the first day of the Main Event, he barely slipped into the final nine players. When they returned on Monday evening he was last in chips with less than 9 big blinds while the average stack was almost 23 big blinds. He only had a bit more than 4% of all the chips.

Then he went all-in with A-9 suited against Aces. At this moment he had an 88% chance to be eliminated in 9th place. But he wasn’t eliminated. Instead, he made a Flush, cracked the aces and lived to see more cards.

Less than an hour later he almost repeated the same feat. This time he was all-in with A-8 offsuit against Aces and while he had his opponent covered, his stack would have been severely crippled had he lost the all-in. But again, he didn’t lose. This time the board ran out K-J-3-Q-T, giving both players the same straight, chopping the pot.

The icing on the cake was the final all-in. PBustos14 was already a massive chip leader in the heads-up against his opponent vpedote when won the final hand with Aces, the very hand he just cracked twice in less than 90 minutes.

More Than 8,000 Festival Online Players Over Three Weeks

Overall The Festival Online Powered by 888poker was a great success. The tournament series attracted over 8,000 players and more than $800,000 in prize money was distributed over 24 tournaments. The tables were buzzing with action and several different variants and games were played during the series. With multiple knockout events, a snap event, 8-max and Omaha tournaments the Festival Series provided plenty of opportunities to try different games.

The next Festival Series will be a live event when The Festival heads to Bratislava in October. From October 10 – 16 the Festival Bratislava guarantees €500,000 in the €550 Main Event and offers a comprehensive side event program with many off-the-beaten-path poker games and casino tournaments as well.

The next Online Series will most likely happen before the end of the year and the details will be announced here in due time.
