WPT Global: Summer Festival Comes to an End, Fall Festival up Next!

The Summer Festival on WPT Global has come to an end with a grand final this Sunday. An abundance of top prizes went through the virtual payout desks, including much-added value in terms of freerolls, WPT Championship Main Event tickets, and more!
A whooping 15,850 players from 80 countries competed during this year’s Summer Festival, an event which guaranteed over $8,000,000 in total prize pools. Several events stood out from all the rest, including the likes of the WPT500, WPT Prime, and the ultimate $3,500 WPT Championship event.
WPT Global Shares Great Results
Of course, highlights couldn’t be left out in this series. WPT Global had set up a great online series, with plenty of added value in terms of poker freerolls, and leaderboards.
WPT500
The $530 WPT500 tournament attracted a strong field with 898 participants, creating a substantial prize pool of $449,000. After an intense battle at the final table, the player known as 两弹一星 triumphed, taking home the grand prize of $83,109. His nickname translates into ‘Two Bombs, One Satellite’.
WPT Prime
The $1,060 WPT Prime event attracted 615 participants, which wasn’t enough to cover the guaranteed prize pool of $750,000. The champion, known as Sucra71, claimed the prestigious title, earning $145,312 in prize money along with a highly sought-after $10,400 seat in the WPT World Championship.

WPT Championship
The WPT Championship, a $3,500 buy-in event and the highlight of the series attracted 283 participants vying for a portion of the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. It actually overlayed with a minor amount in the end. The player known as pas1161br emerged victorious, claiming an impressive $206,300 in winnings and securing a $10,400 seat at the WPT World Championship.
The final table featured intense competition, including WPT Global ambassadors Patrick ‘Egption’ Tardif and Jon ‘apestyles’ Van Fleet, who finished in 2nd and 5th place, respectively. Job well done!
How Did the WPT Global Ambassadors Do?
The final day of the event was filled with excitement as WPT Global ambassadors and notable players made impressive deep runs. Patrick “Egption” Tardif had a remarkable performance, finishing 3rd in the $220 Summer Festival Championship, earning $25,859, and securing 2nd place in the $3,500 WPT Championship, taking home $130,640.
Patrick shared his journey on social media, and is also streaming his online poker career on channels such as Twitch. Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet, another online streamer, also made a strong showing, finishing 5th in the $3,500 WPT Championship Day 2 and earning $59,200.
Brad “BradOwen1” Owen finished in 31st place in the same event, adding $7,300 to his earnings. Xuan “XXLiu” showcased her consistency with multiple cashes, including a 3rd place finish in the $330 Grand Slam for $6,727 and 8th place in the $530 Last Chance Turbo, earning $1,480.
Other notable results include LocoGrizzly securing 3rd place in the $3,500 WPT Championship with a prize of $97,360, and HansBonSjans winning the $530 Sunday Egption event, taking home $16,598. AbsoluteFish dominated the $330 Grand Slam, winning $15,776 along with $8,477 in bounties, while yushokg emerged victorious in the $110 Crazy Sunday PKO, pocketing $17,427, including $6,019 in bounties.

WPT Global is excited to announce the upcoming Fall Festival, happening from September 8th to September 30th.
