Who Are The Top Cash Game Players in January 2025?

Who Are The Top Cash Game Players in January 2025?

Together with StatName, we report on how much the top cash game players earned across stakes from NL/PL25 to the highest limits. This leaderboard will be slightly different from previous ones — you’ll find out why when we reach the overall rankings.

But first, as always, some important notes:

  • StatName considers net profit at cash tables. Rakeback, leaderboard rewards, and promotional bonuses are excluded from the statistics.
  • StatName tracks results only at regular cash tables (fast-fold tables are not included).
  • StatName data may differ from your HUD stats due to potential import errors, but the sample size remains representative and provides an accurate player performance overview.

NL/PL10 and NL/PL25: PokerStars and 888poker Players Lead the Rankings at Two Limits

The top grinders at low stakes came from two poker rooms.

At NL/PL10, the best performers were NLHE grinders with nearly identical stats and win rates of 18.1 bb/100:

  • “Vicktorio” (PS): +$897 over 50K hands
  • “NasikStar” (888): +$850 over 47K hands

At NL/PL25, the trend continued, but this time with PLO grinders leading:

  • “Marciandio” (888): +$1.5K over 14K hands, win rate 43.3 bb/100
  • “GlamorosBear” (PS): +$1.3K over 11K hands, win rate 47.2 bb/100

NL/PL50: “HighPerfect” Grinds His Way to the Top of the Limit

You might remember this nickname. “HighPerfect” has been featured in our reports before. He was among the top players of this limit in 2024. He started 2025 even stronger, securing $2.6K in profit over 41K hands.

NL/PL100: GGPoker Players Dominate

Top Cash Game Players in January 2025 NL/PL100

At all previous stakes, PokerStars and 888poker players led the rankings. But if you’re playing NL100, pay attention to GGPoker — half of the top grinders at this limit play there.

The top performer was “random stack XD” (GG): +$7.9K over 21K hands, win rate 37.9 bb/100.

Even more impressive is “Ellistrago” (PS) in 14th place, who only needed 1.9K hands to reach a profit of $2.8K with an astronomical win rate of 145.2 bb/100. That’s what happens when luck is on your side! But this wasn’t even the craziest thing we observed last month.

NL/PL500: “M4D_T1LT” Is Back on Top and Ready to Battle

Top Cash Game Players in January 2025 NL/PL500

“M4D_T1LT” (PS) is one of the strongest and most feared regs at this limit. Here’s his track record from previous years:

  • 2023: Top player at NL500, +$73.4K over 236K hands
  • 2024: Second-best at NL500, +$63K over 296K hands

He started 2025 strong again, earning $17K in profit over 18K hands. One thing’s for sure — he won’t be giving away any chips!

Strange Things in the Overall January 2025 Leaderboard

Overall January 2025 Leaderboard

This time, the overall rankings look very different from what we’re used to seeing.

First, there are no GGPoker players in the rankings. This is because, as of NL2K and higher, players from GGPoker rooms are no longer tracked. As a result, the top spots are now dominated by WPN players.

Top Players of January 2025 So Far:

  1. “henk-annie1955” – Profit: $239K, Hands: 3.4K, Win rate: 29.8 bb/100.
According to poker forums, this is Kevin Paque, who was also the biggest cash game winner of 2022 with $1.5M profit over 125K hands at NL10K (win rate 7.8 bb/100).
  2. “yourmomishhot” – Profit: $107K, Hands: 4.2K, Win rate: 26.1 bb/100.
This player was also featured in the December 2024 rankings.
  3. “omaha4rollz” – Profit: $86K, Hands: 1K, Win rate: 21.4 bb/100.
Based on the game type (PLO) and nickname, this is likely Laszlo “omaha4rollz” Bujtás.

However, the real hero of the January 2025 rankings is “HeartyCluboa”, who placed 8th with $56K in profit. Why?

  • He plays PL400, which is much lower than the other leaderboard leaders.
  • He played the entire month with a win rate of -10.6 bb/100 — an almost unbelievable stroke of luck!
