BetOnline is one of the most popular online gaming platforms for poker enthusiasts. The website offers a variety of tournaments for all levels of players, including Sit & Go and Multi-Table (MTT) Tournaments. Here are the types of games provided by BetOnline.
Regular Tournaments
Regular tournaments are games without guarantees. The number of tournament participants determines the amount of the prize pool. Naturally, the prize pool increases as the number of participants grows. For instance, if 100 players participate in the $11 tournament, the prize pool will be $1,000.
Guaranteed
These tournaments have guaranteed minimum prize pools. This means a minimum number of players is needed to start the game. It is also important to note that the prize pool increases if the number of buy-ins, rebuys, or re-entries exceeds the guaranteed amount.
Freeze-out
This BetOnline tournament allows players only one entry. If players lose, then they are eliminated from the game. If a player knocks out another player, the latter cannot rebuy or re-enter.
Rebuy
This type of BetOnline online poker tournament allows every player to rebuy the starting stack chips once they run out of chips or have fewer chips than when they started the tournament. If this is the situation when the tournament begins, they can pay the rebuy fee during the rebuy period. The rebuy periods depend on every game and its rules. After the rebuy stage, an add-on break starts. However, buy-ins or rebuys are no longer allowed after the add-on period.
Re-Entry
This type of tournament is similar to rebuy tournaments in which players are given a second chance when knocked out. This is only possible during the late registration period. The number of re-entries depends on the tournament. It is also important to note that the re-entry price is the same as the initial buy-in.
Multiple Entries
Multi-entries are considered to have supercharged seating. Players can hold more than one seat in the tournament simultaneously. The multiple seats are on different tables; if the number of seats is greater than the number of tables, the seats will merge the stacks to have a single seat.
Bounty Tournaments
Players in these tournaments get an additional cash prize when they eliminate another player. Cash bounties are placed on every entrant in the tournament, and the winner of the knockout tournament wins their bounty. Extra buy-ins are paid for by the player at the start of the tournament. The additional buy-in is the bounty on the player’s head. BetOnline tournaments have two types of bounties: Progressive Knockout and Bounty Builders.
- Progressive Knockout – players receive part of the bounty on the player’s head, and the rest is added to the bounty on your head. With this said, the reward and the bounty on the player’s head will increase. It is also safe to say that the earnings and bounty increase whenever a player is knocked out.
- Bounty Builders – players will get a full bounty when a player is knocked out.
Satellites
Satellite tournaments allow players to participate in larger games at a lower entry price. This type of tournament usually does not include cash prizes. Therefore, players with smaller bankrolls can join a bigger tournament.
Time Limited
This is a time-constraint tournament. If players survive the action, they are awarded a portion of the prize pool depending on the number of chips they have.
Anonymous Tournaments
In this type of tournament, the players’ identities are kept secret during the game. This rule can be applied to any competition, such as re-entry games.
Boost
The table at Boost Poker is similar to a regular table, but players who fold their cards are transferred to any table against different foes. This tournament allows you to stay and watch the hand play out.
Shootout
In Shootout tournaments, the play continues at the same table until only one player remains. The winning players at every table are then seated at new tables where they play against each other until only one player remains.
