Never one to shy away from the camera, Negreanu is back again this year at the WSOP 2021 with his daily vlogs showing us all just what it takes to grind it out for 7 whole weeks at one of the biggest Poker tournaments on the planet. As one of the most popular and influential players in poker history, his Vlogs attract a large following. Not only for the entertainment side of things, or video production quality (the editor deserves an award for the quick turnaround in getting those videos out to his hungry awaiting fans) but most importantly his way of coaching his followers on Poker strategy during the game.

Poker can be a fickle game, and momentum built in an early event isn’t guaranteed to carry over into any other event, but for a poker veteran like Negreanu it can easily steamroll into something legendary.

Negreanu Wants a WSOP Bracelet

The WSOP is always a priority for the Canadian pro. The planning of his WSOP schedule is meticulous to maximize his chances at adding another gold bracelet to his current stash of six.

Even though he lives in Las Vegas, Negreanu famously parks a private RV behind the Rio so he can relax and stay fresh in his downtime and manage the full grind of the WSOP.

He cares about winning bracelets, first and foremost. But he also cares about the WSOP Player of the Year award.

Already one of the game’s all-time greats and a two-time WSOP Player of the Year (2004, 2013), the man they call “Kid Poker” is third on poker’s all-time money list, with $43,298,506 in tournament winnings.

Daniel Splits With PokerStars and Joins GGPoker

In a somewhat surprising announcement Negreanu declared his official split in 2019 from PokerStars after 12 years of being an Ambassador for the brand. Six months later he was signed into his third major brand ambassador deal of his professional career, as network ambassador with GGPoker.

The deal was announced jointly by Negreanu and GGPoker, and as way to celebrate and welcome Negreanu joining the team, GGPoker ran a special $100,000 freeroll with Negreanu taking part online at the final table along with new player bonuses. GGPoker have added a few other Poker pros to their list of Ambassadors (like Bryn Kenney) and have been very selective, as to who can join the small but prestigious team.

Here’s a look back to when Negreanu announced the deal on his twitter account in November 2019. Along with his excitement on the journey ahead with brand, it also falls inline with his beliefs in joining forcing with a brand that truly understands and takes an interest in growing the game, whilst maintaining an ecosystem with long term sustainability.

All Eyes on Event #38: High Roller No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed

Taking place on the 19th of October at 15.00pm, the High Roller Texas Hold’em 8-Handed is the biggest buy-in of the series to date with a whopping $50K buy-in. The first $50K of the 2019 WSOP High roller series hit 110 runners and we’re predicting over 100 players for the #38 2021 event (70 runners are needed to give a eyewatering payout to those who play the tournament).

Who Will We See at the Tables?

With such a high buy-in, the Event #38 will certainly attract an array of players. No doubt Negreanu will at the table, along with top pros like Michael Addamo, Jason Koon, David Peters.
