The poker action is about to heat up once again on the majestic island of Malta with partypoker announcing the partypoker Championship (PPC) Malta from March 17 to April 4.

The festival boasts 50 events and is perfect for both recreational and professional players alike thanks to the reasonable buy-ins and lofty guarantees. The schedule boasts three types of events including online-only, live-only, and the popular online-live hybrid formats.

The highlight of the festival is easily the €500,000 guaranteed PPC Malta €550 Main Event, which allows players to choose between playing their opening flight online or live at the Portomaso Casino.

Online Schedule Highlights

The PPC Malta’s online action takes place on March 17-31 and boasts 42 fantastic events with something for everyone thanks to buy-ins ranging from as low as just $1.10 all the way up to 

One of the early highlights you should keep your eyes on is the $200,000 guaranteed Grand Prix KO featuring a reasonable $55 buy-in from March 17-24.

Those looking to play a bit higher will be pleased to learn that shortly after partypoker will be hosting the $400,000 guaranteed Knockout Championship with a $320 buy-in.

This is in addition to the many other side events and four Main Event Online Day 1s, which we will get into shortly.

€500K GTD PPC Malta Main Event

As already mentioned, the €500,000 guaranteed PPC Malta €550 Main Event is the crown jewel of the PPC Malta festival.

In addition to four Day 1s taking place at partypoker on March 17, March 20, March 24, and March 27, players will have five other options to start their PPC Malta Main Event journey live at Portomaso Casino from March 31 to April 3 with €60 satellites littered throughout the schedule.

Players surviving the opening flight will compete for two more days on April 3-4 until a winner is crowned.

The live portion of the schedule also posts the PPC Malta €2,200 High Roller (March 31 – April 1) along with many other lower-priced side events with buy-ins starting at €165.

Battle of Malta and the Malta Poker Festival Follow

Poker appears to be back and perhaps even bigger than before in Malta. Not only will the PPC Malta hit Portomaso Casino from March 31 to April 4, but weeks later, Maltese casinos will host two more massive recreationally-focused poker festivals. 

The iconic Battle of Malta will be returning to Casino Malta by Olympic Casino on April 20-26 highlighted by the €500,000 guaranteed Battle of Malta €555 Main Event.

As the Battle of Malta ends, the popular Malta Poker Festival will return to Portomaso Casino with its Spring-edition from April 25 until May 2 featuring the €300,000 guaranteed Malta Poker Festival €550 Main Event.

Of course, both festivals will also host a plethora of side events and satellite tournaments alongside potentially lucrative cash games making Malta the place to be for many poker players and enthusiasts throughout April.
