The Festival Online 2024, hosted by the iPoker Network, ran from August 3rd to 19th, attracting online poker players worldwide. This edition featured a variety of tournaments with over € 1.5 million in prize money. Designed to be inclusive, the series offered buy-ins for all levels, making it appealing across bankrolls.
One of the key attractions of The Festival Online 2024 was the diversity of games and formats. Players could participate in various events, including Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Progressive Knockout (PKO), and the ever popular Mystery Bounties. The variety ensured that there was something for everyone, regardless of their poker preferences or experience level.
The main focus of the series was, of course, the No-Limit Texas Hold’em tournaments, which are always a crowd favorite.
However, the inclusion of Omaha events added a layer of complexity and excitement for those who enjoy this variant, and it was actually the first out of four ‘Stackbuilder’ highlighted events which reached its guaranteed prize pool.
The Mystery Bounty tournaments, where players could win random cash prizes for eliminating opponents in the ITM period, surprisingly did not always reach the guaranteed prize pool.
The The Festival Series Main Event: The Highlight of the Series
The highlight of The Festival Online 2024 was undoubtedly the €55 Main Event. With a guaranteed prize pool of €100,000, this event attracted a large number of participants, crushing all numbers. The affordable buy-in made it accessible to a wide range of players, especially since you could pre-qualify through Flip Games, and numerous of satellite tournaments.
The Main Event had a ‘Stackbuilder’ feature, a feature which you see back in many online series these days. Take for example the big Mystery Bounty events on competitor site GGPoker, or the usualy highlighted events on the iPoker Network.

Streamers Challenge: Adding a New Dimension
In addition to the standard tournaments, The Festival Online 2024 introduced the Streamers Challenge. This event added a new dimension to the series by involving popular poker streamers. These streamers competed against each other, creating engaging content for their audiences and adding an extra layer of excitement to the series.
The Streamers Challenge was a hit among poker fans, as it allowed them to watch online streamers in action while also giving them the chance to participate in special events.
The interaction between streamers and their communities brought a different dimension to the table, meaning this challenge will surely make a comeback in the future.
The Challenge was eventually won by ‘Lemon Poker‘, who hosted the official stream channel of The Festival Series throughout the entire online series. We’ll be him among the players in the Main Event of The Festival Bratislava later this year, as he collected a €1,600 full package for his win!
Satellite Tournaments: A Path to The Festival Malta 2024
One of the unique features of The Festival Online 2024 was the opportunity for players to win packages to The Festival Series in Malta 2024 through satellite tournaments.
These satellite events allowed players to earn their way into the live poker festival in Malta, which is scheduled to take place in two weeks, from September 8th to September 15th.
The chance to win a package, which included entry to multiple live events and accommodation, was the perfect move from iPoker and The Festival, as many found its way to compete for one of the 33 guaranteed packages, and 30 Seat-Only Main Event tickets.
The downside of these satellites perhaps was the fact that any player could only win one package. After that, they would be excluded of further participation in these satellites. However, the seat-only events could be played as much as everyone wanted.
Accessible Buy-ins for All Levels
One of the key aspects of The Festival Online 2024 was its accessibility. The series featured a wide range of buy-ins, starting from as low as €1 and going up to €250. This inclusive approach meant that players of all levels could participate, regardless of their bankroll size.
The lower buy-in events were especially popular among recreational players, who could enjoy the thrill of tournament poker without breaking the bank.
Meanwhile, the higher buy-in events attracted more experienced players, creating a balanced and competitive environment. This mix of buy-ins ensured that everyone had a chance to compete and enjoy the experience.
