WPT Global: $8M GTD Summer Festival

If you’ve been following along, you know that the Summer Festival is the biggest online event to hit WPT Global this summer.

The series is now in its final weeks, running until August 18^th. The biggest tournaments left to be played are:

Players can participate in as many flights as they wish. However, keep in mind that only the biggest stack will move on to Day 2.

GGPoker: $10M GTD Omaholic Series

GGPoker is an online room that always has something in the works. When it comes to August 2024, its the $10M GTD Omaholic Series, running between July 28^th and August 12^th.

As the Omaha tournament series continues until August 12^th, the schedule is still packed full of tournaments with buy-ins from $15. The biggest event is the $215 Mystery Bounty Main Event $1M GTD. Players can participate in as many flights as they want with combined stacks across the board. Day 2 officially starts on August 12^th, with the top bounty set at $100,000.

In addition to the Main Event, a $100K leaderboard has also been added to the series. Points are awarded according to the following formula:

• Leaderboard points = Log (prize fund) / Sqrt (relative place)
• Relative place = Finish position / Number of participants

33 WSOP Online Bracelets (August 18^th to September 30^th)

Apart from the Omaholic series, GGPoker is also putting its efforts into the WSOP Online 2024. This time around, there will be a total of 33 bracelets to go around from August 18^th to September 30^th.

The biggest tournaments of the series will be:

• $5K Main Event ($25M GTD)
• $10K GGMillion$ ($10M GTD)
• $215 Mystery Million$ ($10M GTD with a $1M top bounty

The guarantees for these events remain the same as last year.

$10M Prize Pool for Regular Leaderboards

What would an online poker room be without leaderboards?

GGPoker is in no rush to find out. Just the opposite actually. The biggest online operator has lined up a series of regular leaderboards for August, with 10M guaranteed across prize pools.

There are a few general rules that apply across all GGPoker leaderboards:

• The scoring period is from 08:00 UTC to 07:59 UTC the next day.
• Happy Hour is every day from 06:00 to 08:00 UTC: at which time points are multiplied by x1.5.

*The multiplier is taken into account: x2 for straight and flush, x3 for set and x4 for straight flush. For example, if you put in five buy-ins into Flip Stage A and hit trips or a set, you will receive: 5 buy-in points + bonus points (5×3) = 20 points. You can get a maximum of 25 points at the end of each Flip Stage.

888Poker: $300K GTD The Royal Premiere 

The Royal Premiere is a 888poker promotion that’s been running all summer, until August 31^st. The idea is quite simple actually, players are awarded freeroll tickets for completing different poker tasks.

This 888poker promotion consists of three different freerolls, each with its own sat of tasks and rewards.

The $500 Red Carpet Freeroll refers to tournaments held 3 times per day, making it the most common of the bunch. To receive a freeroll ticket, players must complete one of three tasks:

1. Win a cash hand with any of the cards – K, Q or J
2. Play in BLAST tournaments with buy-ins totaling at least $5
3. Place a bet in a casino or on sports in the amount of $2 or more

Players can receive a maximum of three tickets per day. The tickets are then valid for 7 days from the date of receipt.

The second freeroll is also known as the $4,000 Silver Screen Freeroll. These are weekly Sunday tournaments, where players are challenged to complete nine tasks in one week. The tickets they receive are then valid for 14 days.

The last freeroll is aptly named the $20,000 Golden Era Freeroll. It’s a monthly tournament, meaning that there’s only one left, set to take place on August 17^th. To get in, players must complete one of the following tasks within a month:

1. Win 5 cash hands with a pocket pair of kings
2. Complete 3 or more MTTs in ITM (BLAST and freerolls do not count)

$2,500 Daily BLAST Leaderboards 

In addition to the Royale Premiere, 888poker also continues to host its regular promotions, including the fan-favorite Blast Leaderboard. To participate in the Blast Leaderboard, players will first need to click the “Join” button in the leaderboards section.

The goal is the same as with almost any other leaderboard, win leaderboard points after each game and move up the ranks. In this case, players receive 2 points for 1^st place and 1 point for 2^nd and 3^rd place. The points are then multiplied by the BLAST Multiplier to determine your ranking on the leaderboard.

A total prize pool of $2,500 is divided by buy-ins (number of twisters to count and prizes may be changed):

PokerStars: $12M GTD WCOOP Bootcamp

Last week, PokerStars announced its new WCOOP Bootcamp series, which will be running until August 19^th.

As of now, the schedule includes 80 events in NLHE, PLO, NLO8, PLO8, 6+, 5-card PLO, Razz, Stud, NL 2-7 Single Draw, NL 2-7 Triple Draw, HORSE, 8-Game, and Badugi, divided by buy-ins into Low and High.

Three WCOOP Bootcamp tournaments will have a $1M guarantees

RedStar Poker: €1,5M GTD The Festival Online

The Festival Online kicked off just a few days ago and will be running on the iPoker network, including RedStar Poker, until August 19^th. The schedule includes 70 tournaments with buy-ins from €7.50 to €250.

While there is a ton of events to go around, the largest multi-flight tournaments in the series are:

As part of a few special tournament freerolls, the Festival Online will raffle off seven packaged of €1,850 each for The Festival Series in Malta Main Event.

Entry to these freerolls can only be obtained by completing missions. A ticket to the €5,000 The Festival Freeroll is given in the following missions:

To get a ticket to €1,850 Package Flip Flop, players need to complete the “Flip Flop” Mission — play 3 Franke’s “FLIP FLOP” satellites for €5 and higher.

Both freerolls will take place on August 20^th.

Apart from hosting The Festival Online, other regular promotions are also available at RedStar Poker, including the Twister Races. To participate in the Twister Race, players need to register on the poker client every week by clicking “Opt-in”.

Points are awarded depending on the size of the buy-in for participation and for winning. For example:, in a €10 tournament, 10 points are awarded for participation and 10 points for victory, in a €20 tournament, 20 points are awarded for participation and 20 for victory, etc. Prizes are awarded in Twister tickets.

Another promotion available at RedStar Poker at the moment is their $25K GTD Monthly Lottery.

Another poker room to look out for in August is JackPoker and its newest poker promotion, the Summer Athletics Quests. running until August 31^st.

The Summer Athletics Quests promotion consists of 29 tasks divided into three categories: for cash players, for tournament players and for casino players. The more difficult the task, the higher the reward for completing it. The tasks themselves are published every day in the JackPoker client.

Rewards are provided both for completing individual missions and for completing several at once, meaning that the frequency of completion will also be separately rewarded.

Winamax: Trilogy 6-Max Knockout

This August, Winamax has come out with its 6-Max Knockout Trilogy, accompanied by a €1,5M GTD.

As the series name would suggest, three special tournaments are taking place from August 4^th and August 14^th: 

Day 1 trilogy flights are running five times per day. Day 1 will officially end when 3% of registered players from that Day 1 flight remain. Days 2 will then start on August 14^th, while Days 3 will start on August 15^th.
