Just take a peek outside and you’ll know: summer has officially arrived and one poker operator in particular is bringing the heat. We’re, somewhat expectedly, talking about WPT Global. How could we not?

The online poker giant has just announced not one but two up-and-coming festivals this season, the Preheat Festival and the Summer Festival.

Before you go nuclear, don’t worry – neither has started yet. That’s why we’re here – in this article, we’re giving you all the necessary information on the two, including names, dates, and, of course, the tournament highlights.

WPT Global Preheat Festival

Let’s go about this chronologically. The first festival up on the roster is WPT Global Preheat, running from July 12th to July 21st. Even though the festival is called Preheat, there’s nothing mild about it.

The online poker tournament comes with $3,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and over 160 sizzling events. So, what’s there to play at the Preheat Festival?

Glad you asked. While the official schedule is not out just yet, WPT Global has teased a few key events. You’ll find them in the table below:

WPT Global Summer Festival

As you might have guessed, the Preheat Festival is just a warm up. An opening act for the main attraction, the highly anticipated WPT Global Summer Festival.

This main summer attraction is taking place between July 28th to August 18th, just after Preheat wraps up. Unlike its predecessor, this tournament series is coming in with a $7,000,000 guaranteed in prize pools – more than double the chances to win.

While this schedule is also being kept under wraps, WPT Global is promising a mirror image of their 2024 Spring Festival. For those who missed it, this entails high-stakes and accessible events across the board. While the winner will be taking home the online title of WPT Champion, they’ll also be securing their way to the the prestigious World Poker Tour.

Just in case you were planning to skip the Preheat and go straight to the Summer Festival, just consider this: winners of all the Preheat tournaments will receive a $220 ticket for the $500,000 GTD Summer Festival Championship.
