Start of the 20th WPT season (XX) with four US stops

The World Poker Tour recently presented the first seven stops of its 20th season, the so-called “Season XX”. Until the end of May, three Main Tour stops, three WPT DeepStacks events and an international online festival are scheduled.

Main Tour of the WPT 2022

Lucky Hearts

This weekend season XX of the WPT starts with the Lucky Hearts Poker Open at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida. The Main Event has a $2,000,000 guarantee and a $3,500 buy-in, with only two starting days. The total guaranteed prize money over the two weeks of the Lucky Hearts Poker Open is over $5 million.

Hard Rock Poker Showdown

In April, the WPT will once again stop in Florida for the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown. Again, the main event also has a buy-in of $3,500. In 2021, the event broke the record for the largest field at a WPT live event with 2,482 entrants and a prize pool of nearly $8 million.

Choctaw

The third major stop on the WPT Tour is Choctaw Casino Resort in Oklahoma in May. The WPT Choctaw is taking place for the seventh time and has developed into a fixed component of the World Poker Tour. Here, the Main Event costs 3,800 dollars and last year almost 1,000 entries played the event.

WPT DeepStacks

In addition to the Main Tour, the WPT will offer three DeepStack festivals. At the end of March, the tour will make a guest appearance in Amsterdam, where the Main Event will cost 1,200 euros. This will be followed by a stop in Sydney at the beginning of April with a buy-in of 1,500 Australian dollars and the WPT DeepStacks Thunder Valley in California at the end of April for 1,500 dollars.

Online: WPT Spring Festival

In addition, the WPT also lists the WPT Spring Festival sponsored by Poker King at the end of January in its calendar of upcoming events. This will be played online on Poker King and has a buy-in of ¥2,200 (around $345) with a guarantee of around $1.25 million.
