At the end of last year, the big news came out that SIGMA was diving into the world of live poker with their own branded SIGMA Poker Tour (SPT). Its first-ever stop will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, from April 9-14.

The Sigma conferences held all over the world have been a huge benefit for the iGaming ecosystem, and now that they’ve introduced their very own epic live tournament series, players just got the chance to make use of these conferences in real time!

SIGMA is well-known in the world of iGaming and beyond. Their main focus relies on iGaming, emerging technologies, and affiliate marketing. Now, with their first stop starting in Brazil, they’re becoming a worthwhile name for online poker streamers, influencers, and all those people working within the poker industry.

What to Expect from the SIGMA Poker Tour Schedule?

A live poker series without a Main Event is like a birthday without a birthday cake, the most important of all. With the Main Event guaranteeing a whopping $250,000, SIGMA is jumping right into action at the Monte Carlo Poker Club and Hilton Morumbi.

Not only did SIGMA announce their poker stops, they also started a collaboration with The Hendon Mob, the world’s largest poker database. For several years now, The Hendon Mob has had its own poker tournament as part of other global event, and this time around is no different. For the first time in history, the Hendon Mob Championship will set foot on South American soil, giving players from perhaps the most popular poker country in the world a chance to compete in their infamous event.

Ivonne Montealegre Is Running the Show

If you have ever been to Malta to play some live poker, then you must have run into Ivonne Montealegre. Since Montealegre previously announced her partnership with SIGMA, when the news about the SIGMA Poker Tour dropped, it was obvious that Montealegre would be the one carrying the fleet.

SIGMA Poker Tour 2025

While the first SIGMA Poker Tour stop will be held in Brazil, the second stop will take place in Malta somewhere between September and October. This will happen alongside the SIGMA summit, which comes back to the island every year.

However, we should note that a minor change has been made this year regarding this summit. The original European Summit has grown out of proportion and is moved to Rome (Italy) this year. But there will still be a Malta summit as well, alongside the SIGMA Poker Tour.
