Sergio Aido reached the final table with the 8th biggest stack, holding 14.7 big blinds. Here’s how the final table unfolded.
Aliaksei Boika finished 9th after playing just one hand
Aliaksei Boika arrived at the final table with a 1.4 bb stack. In his first hand, he posted the blind and moved all-in with the remaining chips.

In the 8-max, Aido doubled up with J J against Kenjic’s 5 5 , boosting his stack to 27 bb.
Aleksejs Ponakovs finished 8th
For Aleksejs Ponakovs, the final table didn’t go well. He started with 34.4 bb, opened three times, and folded to three-bets each time. He eventually lost the rest of his chips to Sergio Aido.

Christopher Nguyen finished 7th
Nguyen ran into a cooler with J J against Petersen’s Q Q .

Jinlong Hu finished 6th
Jinlong Hu lost most of his stack in two hands against Sergio Aido.
In the first hand, Aido opened from UTG, and Hu defended the big blind with A 4 . Aido bet three barrels, shoving on the river, and Hu folded.

In the second hand, Hu 3-bet all-in for 8.5 bb from the small blind with K 10 , and Aido called with K K .

Jovan Kenjic tried to pressure Aido but picked the wrong moment
Jovan Kenjic was the chip leader all the way to the 5-max. Aido held the second-largest stack in the 5-max.
In one hand, Kenjic placed two large bets when Aido had top set, losing a 28 bb pot.

In another hand, Aido made a 5-bet push against Kenjic, becoming the new chip leader.

Daniel Petersen finished 5th
Petersen lost most of his chips in all-in SB vs BB Roman Emelyanov.

Petersen spun up from 0.5 bb to 13.5 bb through a series of all-ins but eventually lost all his chips with A 6 against Aido’s A 10 .
James Hopkins finished 4th
Hopkins lost an all-in with A 5 against Aido’s A 10 , in a 24 bb pot.

Roman Emelyanov finished 3rd
Possibly the only amateur at the final table, Roman Emelyanov lost with A 10 against Kenjic’s A Q , 37.5 bb pot.

Heads-up lasted only three hands
In the final hand, with an effective stack of 34 bb, Aido completed preflop and bet three barrels with all-in on the river.

Sergio Aido won his second WSOP bracelet. He won his first in the $50K High Roller WSOP 2024 in Las Vegas ($2M).
The $10K GGMillion$ set a new record for the prize pool
The tournament drew a total of 1,433 entries. With a $10M guarantee, the final prize pool reached $14,330,000, becoming the largest in the tournament’s history.
