One of the heaviest online poker schedules in recent memories got off to a fast star this week with millions doled out by the biggest poker sites in the world.

Over on PokerStars famous poker pros flocked to the latest edition of SCOOP with numerous events paying out over $100,000 for first place.

Meanwhile 888poker held its first $1m-GTD event for XL Inferno with Jayser1337 winning a staggering $140,000.

Finally PartyPoker Powerfest offered a little more value for players thanks to a significant overlay in one of its opening events.

The glut of big-time online series runs until May 22 with some massive tournaments closing out one of the busiest periods of online poker ever. You can take a look at the complete schedule for all three events in our SCOOP/XL Inferno/Powerfest preview.

Here’s a look at a few of the highlights from a busy week of online poker:

Linde, Anderson SCOOP Titles

It was a busy week on PokerStars with Dylan “ImaLucSac” Linde, Martin Jacobson and Ravenswood13 all taking down titles.

Calvin “cal42688” Anderson also took down his record eighth SCOOP title by winning the Event 13-H: $530 NLHE 3-Max Progressive Bounty.

Anderson actually leads the overall SCOOP leaderboard with 320 points.

Of course the biggest event, by far, was the $25,000 buy-in SCOOP-15-H High Roller, which Russian BIack88 took down for a staggering $702,658.

Another highlight of the week say Fedor Holz snagged the chip lead for the final table of SCOOP-05-H $2,100 PLO. Holz isn’t particularly familiar with PLO but still managed to finish fifth for $47,175.

Charlie “Epiphany” Carrel went one step further.

He accidentally registered for SCOOP-16-H $1,050 PLO 6-Max thinking it was a NLHE tournament. He went on to win the event for $67,410.

Xandee1991, anteen Crush XL Inferno

The XL Inferno was raging on 888poker with hundreds of thousands awarded over the last week.

Brazil’s Xandee1991 outlasted 2,079 entries to take down the big $160 XL Opening Event for $53,014

Swedish pro Anton “anteen” Bertilsson took advantage of the $2,100 XL High Roller to take down $116,974.

jayser1337 Scores Extra PartyPoker Powerfest Value

PartyPoker Powerfest might just be the most value-packed online series you can play this year.

That’s because there was a massive overlay in Event 13. The $215 buy-in featured a $1m guarantee and it didn’t quite reach it so PartyPoker chipped in about $300,000 to the prize pool.

That meant that players in Event 13 essentially got a crack at $300k in free prize pool money. In the end it was online player jayser1337 who got the biggest benefit as he outlasted all 3,354 entries to win $140,400.
