While spring might still be a few weeks away, online poker across North America is already in full bloom, at least if PokerStars has anything to say about it. The Spring Championship of Online Poker 2025, or just SCOOP 2025, for short one of poker giant’s most celebrated tournament series is making its return this month, and this time, there’s more than $5.75 million in guaranteed prize pools waiting to be claimed.

The Spring Championship is back on the PokerStars calendar for players in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ontario, running from March 21 to April 7. If you’re new to the online poker felt, all you need to know is this — SCOOP is a tournament known for its deep schedules, tiered buy-ins, and a mix of formats — and now it’s 2025 edition is all but set to deliver another round of high-stakes action across North America.

First thing’s first — let’s have a look at what’s on offer for players in each region:

  • New Jersey & Michigan (Shared Liquidity): $2.25 million guaranteed across 44 events.
  • Ontario: $2.25 million guaranteed across 44 events (in CAD).
  • Pennsylvania: Over $2 million guaranteed across 43 events.

Like we mentioned earlier, this series is known to feature a wide mix of formats and game types, and from the looks of it SCOOP 2025 is going to be no different. As of now, PokerStars is promising to include No Limit Hold’em (NLHE), Pot Limit Omaha (PLO), 8-Game, PL Badugi, 2-7 Single Draw, and HORSE. As usual, there’s a tiered structure for most tournaments — low, medium, and high buy-ins — with entry fees starting at just $5 and going up to $2,500.

Of course, the 2025 edition would mean little without its spotlight events — the SCOOP 2025 Main Events — are set for April 6. Each of the three region will have three Main Events with different price points and guarantees:

  • Low Buy-In ($50): $50,000 guaranteed prizepool.
  • Medium Buy-In ($300): $200,000 guaranteed prizepool.
  • High Buy-In ($2,500): $125,000 guaranteed prizepool.

For players hoping to secure a seat for less that the asking prices, satellites start at just $1, meaning it’s possible to qualify for some of the biggest events on the SCOOP 2025 schedule at just a fraction of the cost.

To tug at players’ heartstrings befire the 2025 edition kicks off, PokerStars North America’s VP, Steve Preiss reminded everyone of the special place SCOOP holds in online poker history. “Winning a SCOOP title is one of the greatest achievements in online poker. Each year, this series delivers unforgettable moments, thrilling competition, hefty guarantees, and life-changing prizes,” said Preiss.

While SCOOP 2025 is still a few weeks away, PokerStars is already keeping the online tables busy with Sunday Million Season. The series, which started just last week on February 23, has a massive $18.7 million in guaranteed prizepools. It’s also scheduled standout events like:

  • March 9 – $11, $109, and $1,050 Super Sunday with guarantees of $125K, $1M, and $250K, respectively
  • March 16 – $109 Sunday Million Mystery Bounty $1M GTD
  • March 23 – $109 Sunday Million $1M GTD and $11 Sunday Storm 14th Anniversary $350K GTD
  • April 6 – The series concludes with the Sunday Million 19th Anniversary in a classic format with a $215 buy-in and a $6M guarantee.
