Vivian Saliba Secures Her First WSOP Bracelet in Rozvadov After Marathon Battle
Vivian Saliba secured her first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet after an intense 17-hour battle in the €2,000 Pot Limit Omaha event at the 2024 WSOP Europe, earning €91,400 and surpassing seven figures in lifetime tournament earnings. Her win came after numerous near misses, including five prior WSOP final table appearances.


In the heads-up showdown, Saliba overcame a chip disadvantage to defeat Markus Anheier, finally capturing that coveted bracelet. A professional since 2017, Saliba’s poker journey continues to thrive, sponsored by 888poker and producing top results.

Moritz Dietrich Wins the Record-Breaking $5K WSOP Online Main Event ($4,021,012)
The 2024 WSOP Online Main Event made history with 6,146 entries and a prize pool of over $29 million, setting a new record for the largest event in online poker.
At the final table, favorite Isaac Baron eliminated the first two players. Notable bust-outs included Audrius Stakelis in 9th, Ben “BenCB” Rolle in 8th, and Hai Pan in 7th. Ilya Anatski had a tough break, finishing 6th after running into pocket kings, while Diogo Coelho exited in 5th after an intense five-handed play.

The tournament came down to a heads-up battle between Evgenii Akimov and Germany’s Moritz Dietrich. Akimov started with a big chip lead, but Dietrich fought back. After four hours of back-and-forth, Dietrich finally sealed the win, earning a massive $4,021,012 payday. Akimov finished in second, taking home just over $3 million, while Rui Ferreira rounded out the top three with $2,390,418.

WSOP 1980: Stu Ungar vs. Doyle Brunson
One of the key moments in World Series of Poker history has to be the time when a young 26-year-old phenomenon entered the legendary stage. It was Stewart Errol Ungar, better known as Stu “The Kid” Ungar, who launched his stunning poker career by taking on the likes of Doyle Brunson.


Stu not only defeated Brunson heads-up but also beat Moss, Gabe Kaplan, and Charles Dunwoody, who couldn’t stop the young gun from New York. This win marked Stu Ungar’s first World Title.

Dirk “VeniVidi1993” Gerrits, a Dutch poker prodigy, began his poker journey at 14, playing with friends before diving into online poker.
