PokerStars Opens the SCOOP Warm Up Ticket Machine — $50K Up for Grabs

As the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) looms ahead on the PokerStars calendar, players now have an early shot at locking in their seats — without touching a satellite or stepping into a high-roller buy-in.

From April 20–28, PokerStars is rolling out the SCOOP Warm Up Series with $6 million guaranteed across 78 events. But the real kicker? A separate promotion called the SCOOP Warm Up Ticket Machine is handing out $50,000 worth of SCOOP tournament entries just for showing up and grinding a few events.

Below, we break down how it works — and why it might be worth showing up a week early to the party.

So, How to Use the Ticket Machine to Win a SCOOP Entry?

As we said, PokerStars’ Ticket Machine promo is all about rewarding activity during the SCOOP Warm Up week. Here’s the deal:

  • Opt-in: Starting April 14, players must opt in via the Challenges Window in the PokerStars client.
  • Play 3 Warm Up events: That’s the first milestone, and it unlocks one entry into the Ticket Machine draw.
  • Play 6 events: That gets you a second entry.
  • Play 10 events: Now you’ve got a third shot at a SCOOP ticket.

In total, there’s $50,000 in SCOOP tournament tickets being given away, with individual ticket values going up to $1,050.

The draw will take place at 00:00 ET on April 29, with winning tickets credited directly to player accounts. No late-night sweat required — if your name gets pulled, your entry shows up automatically.

It’s a straightforward path to what could be a prestigious SCOOP run — so, no need to win a satellite, just register and play enough events.

A Little More on the SCOOP Warm Up Series

If you’re wondering what these “Warm Up” tournaments are all about, the clue’s in the name. Running April 20–28, the SCOOP Warm Up offers 39 events, each with a high and low tier. That’s 78 tournaments total, with buy-ins ranging from just $2.20 to $1,050.

All of them mirror the kinds of formats you’ll find in the full SCOOP schedule, which means it’s the perfect sandbox to sharpen your game, test out structures, and build momentum.

There are even two Warm Up Main Events scheduled for April 27:

  • $109 Main Event Low – $1M guaranteed
  • $1,050 Main Event High – $400K guaranteed

Oh, and one more thing: SCOOP League is also returning this year. Captains will reportedly be scouting talent during Warm Up week—another good reason to play if you’re hoping to make a deeper run later in the season.

Looking Ahead to SCOOP 2025

Up till this point, everything we’ve talked about was just a warm up to the actual Spring Series. SCOOP proper actually kicks off May 11 and runs until June 2, with the Main Events landing on May 25. Just like previous iterations, the series will feature dozens of formats, from No Limit Hold’em to PL Badugi, with buy-ins ranging from micro to $2.5K.
