PokerStars Celebrate With Bumper Winter and New Year Tournament Series

The festive season, through December and the New Year, is a time to celebrate, and PokerStars is giving players plenty of opportunities to do just that via a host of tournaments.

And to emphasise the inclusivity of real money online poker this truly global operator is making it possible for poker fans from around the world to take advantage of two exclusive tournament series.

Ring in 2023 With the PokerStars New Year Series

25 December might well be a special date, being Christmas Day, but as well as gifts and the usual traditions, this is also when the PokerStars New Year Series for .COM players kicks off. The bumper schedule, which continues until 17 January, is packed to the brim with a whopping 140 events, and will offer an impressive variety of themes and formats. It’s also packed with money, as the overall guaranteed prize pools will total at least $40,000,000!

Importantly, and perhaps not surprisingly, given the sheer volume of online poker tournaments that will take place, there are buy-ins to cater for bankrolls of all sizes (the adventure starting at $2.20!), and it’s possible even to qualify for tournaments for free.

Another great touch is that PokerStars will again implement their admirable policy of providing Low, Medium and High buy-in levels so that players can choose exactly the kind of event in which to do battle, each offering juicy payouts.

The 2023 theme will be in play as soon as the new year begins, with three special events taking place on 1 January featuring buy-ins of $20.23, $202.30 and $2,023 respectively… Here’s just a taste of what’s to come:

Will You Get Lucky in the New Year Draw?

To add more festive spice to proceedings, PokerStars are giving their community the chance to take part and win tickets in a New Year Draw. Players can get involved by opting in and playing in three New Year Series tournaments, which qualifies for a prize draw ticket. The draws will take place on December 30 and January 13.

Poker for All: PokerStars Winter Series

Also taking place between 25 December and 15 January will be the PokerStars Winter Series, allowing players in France, Portugal and Spain to enjoy a host of themed events in a fun series that will also boast total prize money of more than €10 million. Again, expect a user-friendly range of buy-in options.

The Winter Series Fast Track is under way and continues until 7 January, with daily €20 multi-table tournaments awarding tickets for the €250 buy-in, €1M GTD Main Event (8 January).

Juicy Freerolls

Players can deposit €25 with code “WINTER22” to receive a Freeroll ticket to a €25,000 Winter Series Main Event Freeroll on 14 January. When a player busts out of a Winter Series event without having made the money, they will get a second chance freeroll ticket for the following day!
