WPT Global Announces Fall Festival With $8.5M in Prizes and New Features

WPT Global is hosting its biggest event yet, the Fall Festival, from September 8th to September 30th, with over $8.5 million in guaranteed prize money. The festival will feature popular Mystery Bounty tournaments, where players can win impressive bounties. These tournaments have been a hit, with one event recently breaking entry records. WPT Global has also added new animations and themes to make the final moments of these tournaments even more thrilling.

In addition to the Mystery Bounty tournaments, the Fall Festival will include major events like the WPT Championship, WPT Prime, and WPT500, all offering large prize pools.

Cash game players will see a new rule requiring them to buy back in with the same amount if they return to a game within 30 minutes. A $50,000 freeroll is also available for participants, adding even more excitement to the series. WPT Global continues to surprise players with its innovative features and big events.

Veni, Vidi, Got Carried Away: The Continuing Challenge of VeniVidi1993

In January 2023, poker player Dutchman Dirk Gerrits, known as “VeniVidi1993,” began a challenge to grow his bankroll from $66,641 to $1,000,000, aiming to finish by the end of the year.

Despite early losses and even having his account temporarily locked on GGPoker, Dirk restarted the challenge with $100,000 after his bankroll hit zero. Over the following months, he gradually recovered and as of August 2024, his bankroll stands at $850,154, just $150,000 shy of his goal. Along the way, Dirk focused on balancing poker with real life, donating $33,000 to charity and sharing valuable lessons about persistence, taking breaks, and helping others.

The Road To Paradise: GGPoker Announces Satellites for WSOP Paradise 2024

GGPoker has announced the “Road to Paradise” satellite tournament series, offering players a chance to win a spot at the WSOP Paradise event, which takes place from December 6th to 19th, 2024, at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The satellites began on August 25th and includes various qualifier tournaments with buy-ins starting as low as $1.

Winners of the $30K Super Main Event packages, which were first offered on August 25th, will secure a $26,000 entry to the $50 million guaranteed WSOP Paradise Super Main Event, along with discounted accommodation at the Atlantis resort. The package also includes free food and drinks in the players’ lounge and entry to the $1M Super Saver Invitational Gold Bracelet Freeroll.
