While speculation have been running rapid the past few months, yesterday it became official – Phil Hellmuth has officially teamed up with BetRivers as their new brand ambassador. The 17-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner, famously nicknamed the “Poker Brat,” is now the face of BetRivers Poker in Pennsylvania and beyond.

If you’ve noticed Hellmuth sporting a BetRivers hat at live tournaments lately, you weren’t imagining things. This deal has been in the works for a while, and now it’s official. But this isn’t just about poker — Hellmuth will also promote BetRivers’ sportsbook, online casino, and even their live events.

The Poker Brat Partners with BetRivers

Hellmuth is no stranger to ambassador roles, but his partnership with BetRivers feels different. After all, he’s been connected with Rush Street Interactive (RSI), BetRivers’ parent company since 2012. Now, he’s taking that things to a new level.

“Partnering with Rush Street Interactive and BetRivers is a big step for me,” Hellmuth said in his press release “I’ve always admired their determination to create an online gaming experience people truly enjoy. As part of the deal, Hellmuth will be headlining events at BetRivers’ brick-and-mortar casinos, hosting exclusive online poker tournaments, and making regular appearances on Poker Night in America, a poker show owned by RSI.

While the Poker Brat will be making more than a few promotional appearances, Hellmuth’s partnership is about more than just star power. He’s known for his charisma, his larger-than-life personality, and his deep connection to the poker community. RSI’s CEO, Richard Schwartz, called Hellmuth a “perfect fit,” noting that his passion and energy align perfectly with BetRivers’ main mission: to enhance the player experience.

Expect to see Hellmuth hosting special events, sharing tips, and providing commentary for BetRivers’ players and fans. He’ll even be attending the Super Bowl with BetRivers VIPs.

BetRivers Poker in Pennsylvania

For those who haven’t heard of them, BetRivers Poker is a relatively new arrival in the Pennsylvania online poker scene, launching in late 2024 as the state’s sixth licensed platform. Built on the foundation of Phil Galfond’s Run It Once Poker, the site has already made a name for itself within the Keystone State.

Now, with Hellmuth on board, BetRivers has a major edge on its competition. After all, his involvement is a signal that BetRivers is serious about where it plans to go. And with expansion plans into New Jersey and Michigan rumored to be on the horizon, the timing couldn’t be better.
