Just days after Pennsylvania sealed the deal to join the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA), WSOP Online has made it official: Pennsylvania players will soon be part of the action.
In an email to players on Friday, WSOP confirmed that WSOP PA will merge its player pool with Nevada, New Jersey, and Michigan on April 28 — the same day BetMGM Poker is kicking off its expanded network. For poker fans, this is a huge moment: the first-ever four-state shared online poker network in U.S. history.
Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming next.
Four States, One Network: The Big Merge
When April 28 rolls around (today), players from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Nevada, and Michigan will be competing against each other under the WSOP Online umbrella.
This is a big deal for a few reasons. First, it finally links Pennsylvania — home to over 150,000 online poker players — into the biggest possible tournament fields legally available in the U.S. Second, it boosts prize pools across the board, making regular games and special events way more attractive. And third, it’s a signal that U.S. online poker is finally picking up steam after years of fragmentation.
“We can’t wait to welcome PA players to our WSOP Online shared player pool network,” WSOP said in its announcement. And it’s not just about player pools — WSOP is also teasing a revamped tournament schedule and a unified summer Online Bracelet Series for 2025.
No Downtime, No Hassle
In case you’re worried about technical hiccups — WSOP made it clear: no client downtime. Players in all four states can simply log in on April 28 using their existing accounts.
No app re-downloads. No complicated re-registrations. Just more tables, more tournaments, and bigger pots starting right away.
On top of that, WSOP has been pushing notifications and email updates to players, promising more news soon about the 2025 WSOP Online Bracelet events. With Pennsylvania online poker now in the mix, this summer’s bracelet series is expected to be bigger and busier than ever.
BetMGM and the Race to Expand
While WSOP is taking the four-state crown for now, BetMGM Poker isn’t sitting idle. BetMGM’s Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan player pools will also merge on April 28, making it the largest three-state poker network by market size.

To celebrate, BetMGM is rolling out major promotions: a special C-Note freeroll with a $35,000 guarantee on launch day and the brand-new May Millions weekend series from May 8–11. That weekend alone will feature $1 million in guarantees across 18 events, including a $1,000 Championship Event boasting a $400,000 guarantee.
Rumors are also swirling about BetMGM finally launching online poker in Nevada, which could turn its network into a four-state rival to WSOP’s. No official word yet, but all signs point to something happening this summer.
PokerStars and BetRivers: What’s Next?
As of now, PokerStars PA and BetRivers Poker haven’t made any official announcements about shared liquidity.
PokerStars already operates a combined New Jersey–Michigan network but still runs Pennsylvania separately. It seems inevitable they’ll want in on the expanded action sooner rather than later.
BetRivers, meanwhile, only operates in Pennsylvania — but is actively preparing launches in New Jersey, Michigan, Delaware, and West Virginia. If those plans stick, BetRivers could eventually claim the first-ever five-state network in the U.S. poker market.
So, Why Does This Matter?
For years, online poker fans in the U.S. have been waiting for a true multi-state experience. Now, it’s finally happening.
Pennsylvania’s entry doesn’t just mean more players at your table — it means a stronger U.S. online poker ecosystem overall. Bigger fields. Bigger prize pools. More major series. And crucially, a template that other states could follow.
As the 2025 WSOP approaches and major online series like May Millions heat up, the timing couldn’t be better.
The cards are in the air. And this time, there are a lot more players in the game.
