The WSOP Online Main Event attracted 6,146 entries, making it the largest event in online poker history with a prize pool of $29,193,500 ($584,000 more than the previous record set in the $5K WSOP Online. Main Event 2023).

Hai Pan Was the Next Short Stack to Bust

Hai Pan finished 7th ($845,342). From the SB, Moritz Dietrich shoved with Q 6 , and Hai Pan snap-called with 8 8 for 13 bb. Unfortunately for the Chinese player, the flop brought a Q .
Cooler for Ilya Anatski and 6th Place ($1,096,180)

Ilya Anatski lost almost all of his chips when he got all in preflop with A K vs Coelho’s K K , 31 bb pot. After this hand, Anatski had 5bb left, but there was no comeback. That said, Anatski secured his first-ever seven-figure payday, marking a career-best cash.
Endless 5-Max Ended with Diogo Coelho’s Elimination ($1,421,478)

The 5-handed play lasted for 2 hours, with chip leads constantly shifting. Finally, Rui Ferreira opened from UTG 10 10 , Coelho 3-bet shoved from BB K 10 , and Ferreira called. No kings, no flushes.
Evgenii Akimov “showed the UFC” in the 4-Max and Reached Heads-Up
Akimov’s nickname on GGPoker is Yair Rodriguez, named after the Mexican UFC fighter who competes in the featherweight division (61.2 to 65.8 kg).
In a coincidence, Akimov twice “showed the UFC” at the table with “featherweight” 64o.

Akimov Started Heads-Up with a 6:1 Chip Lead, But Dietrich Fought Back
At the start of heads-up play, Akimov had a 6:1 chip advantage with an effective stack of 12 bb. But Moritz quickly evened the score.
In a key hand with an effective stack of 23 bb, Akimov opened with K J , and Dietrich defended from the BB with Q 10 . The board ran out A 5 8 K J , and Akimov bet three barrels with all-in on the river.
In the final hand, with an effective stack of 7 bb, Evgenii completed with 9 5 . On the board 6 K 8 3 , Evgenii bet 1 bb on the flop and shoved for 5 bb into a 4 bb pot. Moritz called with 8 2 .

Evgenii Akimov finished 2nd, earning $3,099,896. Moritz Dietrich became the WSOP Online Main Event champion after 4 hours of intense battle, winning a record $4,021,012.
