Meet WPT Global’s Latest Team Member Pete Chen

On July 29th, 2024 WPT Global announced the expansion of its team of ambassadors introducing NLH MTT crusher from Taiwan — Pete Yen Han Chen.

Pete Chen: MTT Hard Worker and Influencer

Taiwanese professional poker player Pete Yen Han Chen is one of the most active and persistent poker grinders in the high stakes arena.

Up until August 6th, 2024 he had $4,750,285 of total live earnings for 556 ITMs in live events mainly in Asian countries, including 47 victories. Top five of his best cashes and six-figure cashes at the same time are:

During his career, Pete has already visited series in China, Spain, Cambodia, Macau, USA, Czech Republic, Malaysia, South Korea, Australia, Ireland and even Russia. So, making him the Global Ambassador seems like a fair and justified decision from WPT Global.

Moreover, Chan is very active on social media, especially on Instagram where he regularly publishes all kinds of poker and life related content for his 7.5k followers.

For example, after his inauguration into WPT Global Team, Pete posted a video with his opinion on WSOP Main Event final table controversy (QQ fold, not laptopgate) and a fragment of a podcast where he answers about choosing between professional poker career and personal life.

His activity can help WPT Global to promote its services among a large population of Asian players and make brand globalization faster and more effective.

For a relatively new player in the field, WPT Global already managed to create a large team of poker pros with very well-known and popular ones among them.

  • Xuan Liu — Canadian female pokerpro and long-time partner of WPT, who is also a poker influencer with 56.5k followers on Instagram.
  • Jonathan “apestyles” Van Fleet — Canadian professional poker player and streamer with 50.9k followers on Twitch.
  • Phil Ivey — U.S. poker legend and one of the most popular and renown poker players in history of the game.
  • Ethan “Rampage” Yau — U.S. professional poker player and video creator with 308k subscribers on YouTube.
  • Brad Owen — U.S. professional poker player, vlogger and co-owner of Lodge Card Club.
  • Angel Guillen — Mexican 3rd all-timer on TheHendonMob and professional poker commentator.

Also, the WSOP 2024 Ladies Event runner-up Jaime Kerstetter has a note on her X page that she is a “Creative Producer” of WPT Global but she isn’t listed on the official website ambassadors’ page yet.
