Kicking off the Mediterranean Poker Party – Mystery Bounty $1M GTD

The Mediterranean Poker Party 2024 has officially started with the $1,100 Mystery Bounty Event. For this event, the MPP joined forces with the EAPT Series. This time around, it’s being held at the gorgeous Merit Royal Diamond Hotel and Casino in Northern Cyprus.

From May 2nd till May 12th, players from all around the globe will try to their luck in events ranging from $1,100 up to $51,000!

With the previous MPP played over two years ago, we’ve all been waiting with for this years edition. Online qualifiers have been available on GGPoker, where the vast majority of package holders secured their trip to the sunny shores of Cyprus.

At this very moment, the $1,100 has kicked off. With a $1M GTD prize pool and a total of four openings flights across the coming days, the biggest question now is who will come out on top. Tom Talboom – The Netherlands

Tom Talboom has come a long way in his poker career, even though he’s still a very young poker soul. He started streaming his games online to great success, despite facing challenges with changing regulations in The Netherlands. Recently, he moved to Austria to continue playing professionally, and never looked back.

Now, he’s heading to the Mediterranean Poker Party/EA Poker Tour event in Cyprus. With past wins in high roller events, Tom is more than ready to take on the competition once again. His main aim seems to be either to match or even exceed his previous achievements in Cyprus, when he finished 25th in the $5,300 Main Event of the MPP 2022.

Interesting fact: Tom Talboom is an online streamer, so he’ll make sure his audience won’t miss any of the action by sharing vlogs on his social media channels. Worth to follow!

Brandon Sheils – England

Brandon Sheils recently shook up the UK poker scene by grabbing two MPP Live packages worth $10K each during a Mystery Bounty tournament at the Dusk Till Dawn Pokerclub in Nottingham. One of those, was courtesy of his best poker buddy.

For those who don’t know him, Brandon has been active on the live poker scene from the first moment he was of a legal age. With great results along the road to becoming one of England’s most feared live players, he also regularly streams his online poker action on Twitch, and creates content for his YouTube channel. On top of this all, we had the pleasure of conducting an interview with England’s hope in live poker.

Interesting fact: Brandon Sheils’s first live poker result dates back to February 2013. Ever since, he has accumulated a whopping amount of 228 wins all around the world. We’re certain it won’t take long for him to capture a new personal record, perhaps even at this event!

Niall ‘Firaldo’ Farrell – Scotland

Does Niall Farrell still need an introduction? We believe that this Scottish phenomenon reached a point in his career that it’s hard to miss him at any live event in Europe. Being the #1 seeded in Scotland in terms of All-Time Cashes in live events, Niall is a player who always secures deep runs wherever he goes.

We’ve been told he will be heading to Cyprus for the MPP/EAPT event, and certainly Niall will fire some bullets in the Main Events. The ‘Triple-Crown Winner’

Interesting fact: While in second place for the all-time money ranking in Scotland, Niall mentioned that he would like to end up having $15M in live cash. Seven years later, today, he has already accumulated $6,7M of thats um, leaving Vamplew behind with a $3M margin!
