Full Tilt Poker’s Million Dollar Cash Game wrapped up filming in London this week, in the process breaking the record for the largest pot in televised poker history.
The game featured some of the biggest names in poker including Phil Ivey, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, Gus Hansen, Mike Matusow, Allen Cunningham, Patrik Antonius and Tom “durrrr” Dwan.
Early highlights included Antonius flopping a set of kings to crack Dwan’s pocket aces and drag a $500k pot.
Dwan’s Aces Cracked
However, the real action began after 20 hours on the felt when all the other players had walked away from the game leaving just Ivey, Antonius and Dwan to play three-handed.

With blinds at $1,000/$2,000 with a $200 ante and more than $2.2 million on the table between the three, Dwan raised.
Ivey re-raised from the small blind and after Antonius folded the big blind, Dwan made the call.
Ivey fired $40k into the Q♣ 5♣ 3♦ flop and Dwan flatted. However, when the 4♥ fell on the turn and Ivey bet again, Dwan raised it up to a whopping $240K.
Ivey tanked, but emerged shoving. Dwan insta-called with 6♥ 7♥ for the nut straight and Ivey’s A♣ 2♥ for the smaller straight was drawing dead, leaving Dwan to collect the massive $1.1 million pot.
Dwan also won the previous largest pot in televised poker history during Season 5 of High Stakes Poker when he flopped top pair and a flush draw against Barry Greenstein‘s pocket aces and turned trips to collect an amazing $919,600.
Full Tilt Poker’s Million Dollar Cash Game will air on Sky Sports in the UK in January 2010 featuring commentary from Full Tilt Poker pro Robert Williamson III.

Is Tom Dwan still playing? Haven’t heard a mention of him in many months.
DURRR IS A GENIUS EVERYONE RUNS WELL AND RUNS BAD IF YOU ONLY KNEW HOW MUCH HE GETS SUCKED OUT ON DO YOU REALLY THINK THEY PUT EVERY HAND HE PLAYS ON TV I LOVE YOU HATERS WITH WEAK BANKROLLS GET YOUR MONEY UP DONKEYS AND CHALLENGE HIM IM SURE HE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY BEFORE YOUR CHIPS GET TO THE TABLE
Fart.
Also, the identical hand happened to Dwan in the (somewhat smaller) Aussie cash game – but in the opposite direction. Dwan had the wheel, David Benyamine had the 3-7 straight. Karma?
Durrr is the biggest suck out in the world. But one of these days his lucky suck outs WILL come to an end.
I have no clue why some of you think he is so great. I’ve seen the guy suck out so many times from bad plays it makes me sick.
Must be nice to have more money than brains.
Oh yeah, I hope all of you durrr fans play the way he does.
everyone saying that was a bad play from dwan for calling the 40k i think is forgetting that ivey is betting needing to hit the same card with his hand
This is nothing new ppl, except for the $ amount on T.V. Doyle even wrote about this play in Super/System. Drawing to the nut gutter-baller if you have a strong chance of winning your opponents whole *deep* stack. It’s so hard for them to put you on that hand you’re guaranteed to make many extra bets if you land it or improve to trips/2 pair. But you have to have that aggressive image to get paid off.
Herb: he actually rarely over-bet bluffs… his bluffs tend to be well-sized v-bets which is interesting.
bro: u are definitely a losing player, I cal tell
as for the writeup… horrible, we never get a figure of the pot-size until the end.. but you can tell at no point is Dwan calling worse than 2:1
With how much did ivey raise on the turn?
Kinda sucks I’ve seen this before the show. #1 I love Dwan and am glad to see him win this pot. #2 He does run good lol #3 Sucks he got AA cracked by KK like that but sounds like he made up for it #4 Williamson the 3rd? They couldn’t get a better announcer than that? I’m assuming the other announcers are held by contractual obligations?
that play by dwan is pretty standard. calling a 3 bet with suited connectors in position when your as deep as the pacific is normal against someone 3 betting as much as ivey probably was. then calling the lead is fine aswell cos iveys obviously gonna come out firing, regardless of the flop, and dwan has 3 sure outs to the nuts, if he doesn’t call there why bother calling the 3 bet in the first place?
once again dwan hits a miracle typical but people says hes a great player sure sticking 40k in for 4 outs but not if ivey has a 2 clubs so maybe even 3 outs thats just terrible but if your as lucky as him u get the miracle 4 outer
by the way this commentary is crappy “ivey reraised and dwan called”
How much was the raise?
ivey bet 40k and dwan flatted.
wehn ivey bet again on the turn dwan raised to a whopping 240k
well, it’s not really THAT WHOPPING retard if the pot is 120k and ivey bets pot. But the commentator doesn’t say how much ivey bets….terrible.
wow oldman u think he just left that info out cause he doesnt care? The info is all second hand and probably no one remembers exact betting. You are terrible for thinking if someone actually knew this inof they would hold it back for no reason. 240K is a whopping amount in real $$ not in terms of BB/hands you idiot.
I cant imagine someone being such a loser as to make a comment like you just did… like good god.
he raised to make 1) flush draw or 2) set pay or make phil ivey think he’s bluffing
what a money card for durrrr. awesome
i GUESS HE RAISED SO MUCH CAUSE HE HAD THE NUTS ….lmao
How can Dwan raise so much there?
durrrr hit a miracle card!?!?! Wow, imagine that………seems now he can do it live as well as online.
