GGPoker has been on a role the past few weeks and from the looks of it, their not slowing down any time soon.

Just yesterday, the biggest online poker room came out with the news we’ve all not-so-secretly been waiting for – announcing the 2024 WSOP Online. The long awaited online poker tournament will be running at GGPoker from August 18th to September 30th, 2024.

So, what are we looking at with this edition of WSOP Online?

WSOP Online 2024 – What We Know So Far

It looks like the WSOP Online 2024 has gone with the moto – the more the merrier. This year’s edition has a total of 33 bracelets up for grabs and millions to be won in cash prizes.

Of course, the event to look out for is Event #28, the WSOP Online Main Event. This year, it comes with a gigantic $25M guarantee and $5,000 buy-in. Similar to last year, the final day of the Main Event will be broadcast live on GGPoker.TV, on September 24th, giving avid poker fans a chance to follow every move.

A Bit of Friendly International Competition

One of the aims of the 2024 WSOP Online seems to be fostering a bit of friendly regional competition.

As in the 2023 edition, each participant will be grouped into one of four continental regions: Americas, Europe, Mediterranean, and Asia Pacific. This regional grouping ensures that every player has a reason to cheer for their continent, with $3 million earmarked for Continental Flipouts. These Flipouts, linked to bracelet events, will be open to participants hailing from the same continent as the event winners.

Additionally, individual player results will be tracked by country throughout the WSOP Online series, further the competitive spirit. At the series’ conclusion, the top 10 countries will be rewarded with exclusive Bracelet Standing Freerolls, offering an extra $1 million in prizes.
