Doubling From Last Year’s $5M GTD Overlay Edition

Last year’s GGMasters Overlay Edition set a target of $5 million in guaranteed prize money, needing 36,231 players to enter to hit that target. Now, they will need 72,462 entries to hit the guarantee, making it one of the biggest online poker tournaments ever.

Last year, they came close but ultimately left an overlay for poker players to feast on. The final figures showed 33,133 leaving just under $500K in overlay money.

GGPoker will be running round-the-clock satellites, which can be as low as $2.22, and gives every poker player a chance to spin small dollars into a vast seat. We will all be sitting with baited breath to see if Daniel Negreanu runs back his bet from last year and will shave his hair off if GGPoker manages to hit the guarantee.

The 2023 GGMasters Overlay $10M GTD Edition

This year, the Overlay Edition will run from February 19 and have eight days of Day 1 Flights, allowing poker players to fire bullets and run up a stack for the penultimate Day 2 on February 27.

With the PokerListings raffle giveaway, you could find yourself sitting down in one of these Day 1s and battling with the field to get through to Day 2 and give yourself every chance of getting into the money.

How the 2022 GGMasters Overlay Champion “Sr_Duck” Won $343,564

Day 2 saw only 7,097 entries last from the field of 33,133, with many notable names making the final 4,800 and locking up a min-cash.

After GGPoker streamer Kevin Martin essentially bubbled in 4,829th, the players entered the money and locked up a min-cash of $304. Well-known crushers like Niklas “Lena900” Astedt and Johan “YoHViral” Guilbert entered the money, with the latter busting in 206th for a $2,746 payday.

The final table saw known poker players Wellington “ZaaKiiu” Oliveria, and Niv “Malach” Malach partake, but ultimately they would bust in 7th and 5th, respectively, for $61,096 and $108,645. The ultimate winner, “Sr_Duck” would scoop $343,564, a 2,290% return on his initial investment!
