An impromptu trip to the Czech Republic has worked out pretty well for Scots Niall Farrell and Ludovic Geilich.
After an impressive tear through the iive tournament circuit over the past year or so Farrell was tabbed for an invite from 888 to play at 888Live Rozvadov.
As he told us yesterday, he invited his countryman Geilich along for the trip.
Now the two will sit side-by-side, first and third in chips, to play the final table tomorrow with €200k still to distribute among the final eight.
Scot to the Right, Scot to the Left
It was Geilich’s day from the get-go as he built a towering stack early and rarely wavered.

Working out for Farrell, too.
He busted yesterday’s star, William Kassouf, in 23rd and just kept stacking, heading into the final table tomorrow with 3.8m chips.
Pal Farrell also had a strong day and will come in third with 2.2m. Sandwiched in between them is Poland’s Lukasz Tomeck with 3.2m.
Watch the full replay of today’s action over on the live stream page and tune in tomorrow at 2 pm CET to see it play to an exciting finish.
The Main Event wasn’t the only action on the slate today, though, as the 888poker Ladies Tag Team event hit the stage too.
888 Women Headed to WSOP
The special event of the day was the Ladies Tag Team event which played out before the beginning of Day 2.
888 ambassadors Kara Scott, Sofia Lövgren and Natalie Hof took on challengers Oanh Bui, Joanna Kwak and Anna Wegscheider in a best-of-three match that took a deciding leg to determine the winners.

Happy team.
It wasn’t an easy win by any means as the challengers went up 1-0 when Austrian newcomer Wegscheider won the first leg.
Scott then struck the equalizer before Lövgren – by far the most experienced player of the six – secured the victory for her team.
The winners will now represent 888poker at the 2017 WSOP Ladies Event in Las Vegas this summer – quite a nice prize for an invitational event.
Oanh Bui Last Woman Standing
Speaking of Bui, though, despite the disappointment of not securing a WSOP buy-in she had a successful day on the felt on her own.

Nice run for Bui.
Born in Vietnam but raised in the Netherlands Bui has been on the live poker stage for over five years. She has results at the WSOP and all over Europe and she’s also been in both the main and the high roller event at the Battle of Malta.
After the elimination of 888poker’s Hof in the main event Bui took the crown of Last Woman Standing when she made it to 18th place and a cash of €4,035 – her biggest success since a €5,500 cash in an IPT event in Malta.
The Main Event will be decided on Monday evening and you can watch it all with hole cards starting at 2 pm CET with commentary from David Tuchman and Parker Talbot.

An Anecdote About the Bubble Boy
Just yesterday we reported on a player who shoved 10x pot on a nut-flush draw on the flop against the pocket aces of Dominik Nitsche.
The draw came in and Nitsche lost three quarters of his stack. His opponent – probably because he was slightly embarrassed after he had to show that he only had a draw and got lucky – jokingly justified his play by saying, “I just did that because I wanted to get the dunce cap for being a donkey.”

Most of the players at the table just shook their heads. Today, it so happened that the very same player became the bubble boy — and in unlucky fashion, too.
He faced a raise and then pushed his 140k stack into a pot of about 20k with A-K. The initial raiser called with A-J and a big stack. A jack hit right on the door followed by nothing even close to a king.
And thus, in a way, he did get what he asked for. He wasn’t laughing. 888poker tried to comfort him as best as they can. They gave him a Sony audio system as a consolation prize.
