PokerStars Carnaval Series: Main Events and Key Tournaments

There are three Main Events to the PokerStars Carnaval Series, with different buy-in levels and prize pools:

• Low Main Event (€10 buy-in) – €100,000 guaranteed on February 16.
• Mid Main Event (€50 buy-in) – €250,000 guaranteed on February 23.
• High Main Event (€100 buy-in) – €300,000 guaranteed on March 2.

Of course, just like any carnaval, there’s also more to it than just the main attractions. On top of the three main events, there will be a €10 PKO Phase Event, which kicks off on February 16, with its final stage playing out on March 3. The schedule also includes a mix of formats like progressive knockouts, deep stacks, turbos, and mystery bounty tournaments, meaning there’s always something different to jump into.

Throughout the PokerStars Carnaval Series, PokerStars brand ambassadors will be hitting the virtual tables, streaming their progress on Twitch and YouTube. This means that fans can tune in just about anytime to watch their favorite pros battle it out for titles while getting insights into some poker strategy and gameplay.

Qualify for Free Through Power Path

If you’ve seen the January edition of the PokerStars Carnaval Series, you know that the buy-ins are already on the lower end compared to PokerStars’ major festivals. For the February edition, players can also qualify for free through the Power Path system. When it comes to this, it’s pretty much a standard PokerStars affair — by progressing through four steps, players can earn different pass levels to enter the festival’s biggest events:

• Bronze Pass – Grants entry to a €109 online event, which can be used for a Carnaval Series tournament.
• Silver Pass – Awards €2,500 worth of online buy-ins, including entries into multiple Carnaval Series events.

What Else is Happening at PokerStars?

While the PokerStars Carnaval Series takes over the online tables, the poker giant is losing no time with bringing back a classic with the Irish Open Online. Running from February 17, this online festival guarantees over $800,000 across 17 events, all in celebration of Europe’s longest-running live poker tournament.

Among the standout events is the $215 Main Event, with a $200,000 guarantee. On top of that, the top three finishers will earn added-value prizes:

• 1st Place: A $2,500 Irish Open Silver Pass – Emerald Edition, covering buy-in, expenses, and a concierge service for the live event in Dublin.
• 2nd Place: A €1,150 Irish Open Main Event seat package.
• 3rd Place: A €109 Irish Open Main Event qualifier satellite ticket.
