Today in the 3-Bet we find a smashing poker debut in Sochi, Jamie Staples gets the bet of a lifetime and two poker hunks model their wares.

1) partypoker Sochi Goes Off

With former EPT founder John Duthie at the helm, hopes for the new partypoker Live tour are, well, high. Very high.

Natalie Breviglieri had a go, too.

With 1,170 entries, a $1.13 million prize pool and $225,000 to the winner it’s safe to say the main event has been a barnburner on the Black Sea from Day 1.

The partypoker Million Cash game featuring Sam Trickett and Duthie himself was also a treat. The final table is down to just 5 players and is streaming live as we speak.

2) StreamBoat Gets Going with $150k > $3k Weight Bet

The Bill Perkins/Jeff Gross/Jamie Staples/Matt Staples-driven StreamBoat 2017 is underway from the Virgin Islands and after two days the vibe has been, as you might expect, fun.

Yachts, poker + life-changing bets, too.

Trampoline games, boat races, Charity SnGs and, you know, streaming from a yacht in the Caribbean tends to give thing that loosey-goosey feel we all love to enjoy vicariously.

While they’ve yet to rack-up any big scores online the action has taken an interesting turn with a massive bet agreed to.

As Perkins has been known to do, he’ll put a lot of his money on the line for a bet that serves to better someone’s life and he’s done it again with the Staples brothers:

It’s a steep task to say the least  – the two are about 170 lbs apart right now – but at 50-1 there’s plenty of incentive and life-changing benefits either way.
