The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a tipsy, handwritten, innuendo-laced fax sent from the hidden fringes of the afternoon poker news garden party.

Today in the 3-Bet we find Liz Lieu signing on as another ISPT ambassador, Joe Stapleton drunk-dialing Liv Boeree and Michael Phelps spending his swimming money wisely.

1) ISPT Signs Liz Lieu as Newest Ambassador

First it was Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi. Then Sam Trickett. And now Liz Lieu.

Former ChiliPoker pro Lieu announced over the weekend she’s joined Mizrachi and Trickett in repping the International Stadiums Poker Tour for its inaugural event at Wembley Stadium next May.

In Cannes, France, to play the Partouche Poker Tour main event after a long hiatus from poker, Lieu and elusive  ISPT founder Prosper Masquelier even managed to pose for a publicity shot:

“This event will create a lot of positive attention for this game,” Lieu says. “I am very excited by the concept and I’m sure that ISPT will be remembered in poker history.”

An ISPT press conference planned for yesterday failed to materialize but the signings of Mizrachi, Trickett and Lieu seem to be quelling the initial fears the event had little chance of happening.

Online satellites for as low as €6 on Poker770 also seem to be helping as is a partnership with the APAT in the UK.

So far the ISPT website says about 3,300 of the planned 30,000 have “registered.”

2) Joe Stapleton Drunk Dials Liv Boeree

Not sorry Stapes couldn’t get through.

If you haven’t had the chance to listen to the daily WCOOP radio show with Joe Stapleton, Nick Wealthall and Matt Broughton yet you’ve probably, well, been busy enjoying your Labor Day weekend.

Which is a smart call, really. Can’t say we blame you.

Still, you’ve missed some good stuff so far.

Some tourney recaps and strategy, interviews with Eugene Katchalov and Lex Veldhuis, a few prizes and contests, some solid poker-based puns and, of course, Stapleton belittling himself for the sake of poker comedy by drunk dialing PokerStars pro Liv Boeree. An excerpt:

“Kevin’s cool. Like he’s awesome. Don’t get me wrong, I like Kevin. He’s tall and, like, good looking, if that’s the kind of thing you’re into, then fine.

“I mean it’s not very…It’s not very rocker. (Does guitar riff with mouth.) Oh my god I think the pizza’s burning.”

3) TMZ Reports Michael Phelps Wins $100k in Vegas

Oh, TMZ.

This came out over the weekend but in case you missed it here’s another pure poker gem from the embedded journalists at TMZ.

According to “sources” (will this guy ever learn to keep a secret?) Phelps was in Vegas with his pals and hit up the notorious high-stakes games at Caesars Palace. From the article:

“Phelps has been touring the world with his buddies since scooping up 6 Olympic medals — starting in the Maldives — and last weekend, the crew took on Sin City.

“According to our sources, Phelps and his buds played a cash poker game at Caesar’s Palace, and naturally … Phelps cleaned up with $100K in winnings.”

TMZ ran the story with some random pics of Phelps with friends and of him playing a charity tournament at Harrah’s in Atlantic City last year — for authenticity we suppose.

According to Phelps, of course, and to all sense of logic and reason, he clearly didn’t win $100k playing poker at Caesars Palace this weekend:
