The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a rolling camera, a pushy producer and a regrettable nightclub incident during afternoon poker news pilot season.

Today in the 3-Bet we find Phil Ivey suddenly with a lot of time on his hands, Matt Marafioti looking back on his Twitter anger and the WPT Bay 101 stop exploding with both fans and Shooting Stars.
1) Phil Ivey Has Downtime, Poker Gets Tougher
Another unexpected consequence — besides big poker games/players moving overseas — of the ongoing muddle over online poker in the US?
One of the game’s greatest players has a lot more free time on his hands to, you know, train everyone else in the world how to be great at poker.
We’ve mentioned Phil Ivey a lot lately (we know, we know), but tbh Ivey has been pretty hard to ignore.
He’s got the growing Ivey Poker training site, his new boxing/entertainment company and a desire, he says, to help make poker games even tougher than they are today.
Yes, tougher. The reasoning, Ivey told Bluff Magazine, is two-fold:
One, he’s just a competitive guy and two, he’s just simply got a lot of free time now:
Can we just bring back online poker already?
2) ADZ on Twitter: Was a Rage Outlet, Not the Best Idea
Matt “ADZ124” Marafioti has gone through a couple of major notoriety downswings during his poker career.
First there was the leaked reality show pilot that didn’t get him started on the best foot. Then came the Twitter meltdowns – most notably one directed at former girlfriend Lauren Kling.
A physical stand-off at the LAPC. Some bunny-hopping obnoxiousness late in the 2012 WSOP Main Event.
In among all of the turmoil, though, Marafioti has had his moments of genuflection. And he remains one of the world’s best No-Limit Hold’em poker players.
Still, the lingering impression he’s left on most of the poker world is, on the whole, not good.
Talking with TD Matt Savage at the ongoing WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star event, though, it seems Marafioti is working pretty hard to overcome that impression – starting with the way he uses Twitter:
3) WPT Bay 101: Top 5 Stop on the Poker Circuit?
The PCA. The Aussie Millions. EPT Prague/Barcelona/London.
Outside of the WSOP there are a growing number of stops reaching “must-attend” status on the global poker circuit.
This week’s WPT Bay 101 event in San Jose is making a pretty good case for the Bay 101 Shooting Star to be on the list (if it isn’t already)
With a ravenous fan base, an eclectic format (big-name pros at each table with a $2,500 bounty on his/her head), a top TD in Matt Savage and, typically, a spectacular turnout it seems like it’s the crown jewel in the new “West Coast” swing.
With this year’s field at 586 and climbing – and social media posts of happy faces flying – it looks like the vibe is electric in San Jose again:
