In today’s Daily 3-Bet we’ll take a look at the oldest player at the upcoming PokerStars Championship Bahamas, some Libratus odds and Kevin Hart playing a $100k SHR.

1) Libratus = Favorite Horse

Poker A.I. Libratus is the heavy betting choice even as the underdog heading into its match against Jason Les, Dong Kim, Daniel McAulay and Jimmy Chau, according to PokerShares.

PokerShares, a brand-new poker betting site from Mike “Timex” McDonald, has Libratus at 3.65 to win versus the human team at 1.30.

That’s because the human team managed to beat Libratus’ predecessor Claudico in the summer of 2015. But that hasn’t deterred bettors who like the potential payout from an upset.

The human brains will face off against Libratus on Jan. 11 and will play a staggering 120,000 hands over the course of 20 straight days at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh.

While A.I. has been able to dominate games like Go or Chess, poker has proven more difficult thanks to its status as an “imperfect information” game.

Libratus, like Claudico before it, was designed by Carnegie Mellon researchers Tuomas Sandholm and Noam Brown.

2) 84-Year-Old Toronto Man to Play PCB

The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure has always been a mecca for young online poker players looking to dip their feet into the world of high-stakes live tournaments at the age of 18.

Morris Dadoun getting set to pwn some fools.

Morris Dadoun is not one of those players.

Dadoun, who hails from Toronto, will be the oldest player at the tournament at 84 years of age.

The CBC featured Dadoun in an article and video that details how he won his seat in the PokerStars Championship Bahamas (recently re-branded from the PCA of old).

Dadoun does have the competition trumped when it comes to one factor: experience. He’s been playing in a home game for about 40 years.

His friends also say that Dadoun has a killer poker face. Dadoun isn’t convinced he knows what a poker face is, however. That sounds like something a shark would say, actually.

Last year fellow Canadian Mike Watson won the PCA Main Event for $728,325 so perhaps Dadoun can make it back-to-back for Canada.

3) Kevin Hart Jumps into PCB $100k High Roller

This is not a drill.

World-famous comedian Kevin Hart has taken a seat in the PokerStars Championship Bahamas $100,000 super high roller.

Over the years PokerStars has invited a number of celebs to its Bahamas event including golfer Sergio Garcia, actors Adrien Grenier, Kevin Dillon and Verne Troyer but Hart is likely the biggest coup for the company ever.

Hart might actually be the only player that’s properly bankrolled for a $100k Super High Roller. Thanks to his very successful movie career, rockstar-style comedy tour and various endorsements he’s earned $900m since 2006 according to Forbes.

Hopefully this is a trend. Would be awesome to see some of the biggest comedians join the super high roller circuit.
