Creators’ Cup: Social Stars Join Poker Pros for an Epic Competition

What happens when six UK influencers team up with PokerStars ambassadors? The Creators’ Cup — a competition designed to mix poker with pop culture while inviting new players into the game. This four-month-long journey starts online and culminates at the Irish Poker Open in April 2025, offering fans and players alike the chance to win big and have some fun along the way.

What is the Creators’ Cup, and What’s at Stake?

The idea behind the Creators’ Cup is fairly simple – combine the reach of influencers with the expertise of PokerStars ambassadors to bring poker to a wider audience. Over the next four months, six popular UK content creators will host weekly online tournaments on PokerStars.uk, inviting their followers to join them for just £1.10 per entry. However, these tournaments are more than just friendly games. The top players from each week will qualify for a monthly semi-final, with each semi-final champion earning a seat at the Irish Poker Open live finale.

At the Irish Poker Open, the six semi-finalists will compete against the influencers in the Creators’ Cup Invitational, battling for a £10,000 prize pool. But that’s not all — one participant will also win an all-expenses-paid trip to Brazil.

Who’s Competing?

Six UK influencers, each with a distinct following and personality, are leading the charge in the Creators’ Cup. Here’s the lineup:

  • John Nellis, Football YouTuber – Paired with Spraggy
  • Randolph, Musician and Content Creator – Paired with Parker Talbot
  • Specs Gonzalez, YouTuber and Influencer – Paired with Adam McKola
  • Elz the Witch, Presenter and Influencer – Paired with Marle Spragg
  • Spencer Owen, Presenter and Author – Paired with Rory Jennings
  • Cole Anderson, YouTuber and Influencer – Paired with Fintan Hand

To give them an edge, PokerStars ambassadors are stepping in as mentors. Each influencer will partner with an ambassador to sharpen their poker skills and provide behind-the-scenes insights into the poker world. For example, John Nellis is teaming up with Spraggy, who’s not only helping him train but also offering his community tips and tricks along the way. As Spraggy put it, “Together, we can give his followers a poker leg up and the best shot to make that final at the Irish Poker Open.”
