Brazilian “GutAoAllin” Claims Sunday Million Anniversary Glory

The PokerStars Sunday Million celebrated its 19th birthday in true poker fashion: with a mountain of chips, an ocean of entries, and a finish that saw a four-way deal lock up over $1.5 million in prize money. The special $215 buy-in event, with its eyebrow-raising $6 million guarantee, drew a staggering 28,444 entries — just shy of the target, but still enough to generate a massive field and near-week-long buzz in the online poker streets.

It was Brazil’s GutAoAllin who emerged victorious, outlasting every single player in the mammoth field to walk away with $391,436 and a permanent entry in the Sunday Million history books.

Read on for a full breakdown of the Sunday Million final table carnage, deal negotiations, and the plays that sealed this landmark title.

A Colossal Field and a Four-Way Chop

Despite the overlay risk, PokerStars didn’t flinch. With weeks of satellite promotions and a dedicated Sunday Million Season build-up, the $6M guarantee held firm. Ultimately, the $215 buy-in tournament collected just under $5.7 million in prize pool funds, with the operator reportedly covering the gap — and still coming out ahead thanks to rake.

The final four players—GutAoAllin, KkkEndriK, AT_prodotico, and desbone13 — agreed to an ICM deal after five rounds of negotiations, securing a sizable chunk of the prize pool each before playing down to a champion.

From Nine to One: A Final Table to Remember

The final table kicked off with Brazil’s GutAoAllin holding a monstrous lead — nearly 2.5 times the chips of anyone else. But in true Sunday Million fashion, the chips didn’t stay in one place for long. The first bustout came just moments after cards were in the air. GutAoAllin min-raised with Q 8 , and Rsazo66 from Lithuania three-bet with ace-ten, committing nearly everything. After the jam and call, a queen-heavy flop put GutAoAllin firmly ahead and ended Rsazo66’s run in ninth place.

Barely fifteen minutes later, Austria’s RhoNin9 got their chips in with pocket aces — only to watch KkkEndriK crack them with pocket nines after a turn card delivered the dreaded set. With that, the table was down to seven, and it didn’t take long for Kepalas89 to follow. The Lithuanian player made a move with pocket threes but couldn’t survive a king-high runout against desbone13’s king-queen.

Just past the half-hour mark, Ayronn from Austria picked the wrong time to run into bullets. Holding pocket sevens in the big blind, they jammed over a raise from GutAoAllin, who snap-called with pocket aces and held with ease, sending Ayronn to the rail with a six-figure payout.

Then came a triple-barrel bluff that ended badly. New Zealand’s brizionz13 opened with ace-four and fired every street into GutAoAllin’s big blind. But with king-queen, the Brazilian flopped a straight, check-called every bet, and made the easy river call to scoop up more chips—knocking brizionz13 out in fifth.

Four-handed play dragged on for a bit, with multiple pauses to discuss a potential deal. It took five rounds of negotiations to reach an agreement, but the four players eventually locked in an ICM chop. That proved timely for desbone13, who was the next to fall. They shoved ace-nine suited for 15 bigs, only to run into KkkEndriK’s ace-jack. The flop brought both an ace and a jack, and by the turn, it was game over for the UK player.

Brazil’s AT_prodotico was eliminated next in another preflop clash—this time against KkkEndriK, who once again found pocket aces. AT_prodotico jammed with king-four of hearts and looked briefly alive after pairing the king on the turn, but a ten on the river counterfeited their hand and left us heads-up.

That set the stage for the final battle: KkkEndriK held a slight chip lead over GutAoAllin as blinds reached 3.5M/7M. The two traded blows for nearly 30 minutes until one big bluff sealed it. KkkEndriK min-raised the button with seven-six of spades, and GutAoAllin called with king-jack. On a queen-four-deuce flop with two spades, GutAoAllin check-called. A ten on the river gave them top pair, and when KkkEndriK shoved their missed flush draw, the Brazilian made the hero call to end it.
