We’re only weeks away from maybe the most appreciated live poker stops in Europe – the Festival Bratislava! Founder and poker legend Martin “Franke” Von Zweigbergk and his team have really succeeded in making the Festival a unique event. The Festival is not only about poker; it also features various casino games event, as well as a sportsbook tournament. This, combined with a lot of Mixed Games action, makes the Festival an incredible event that has seen huge success ever since its debut event back in 2021.

Now, players have an exceptional opportunity securing a package to the Festival Bratislava through the upcoming “Battle of the Fishes”!

Who’s the Bigger Fish?

It all emerged from “trash talk” between Franke and PokerListing’s Head of Poker Mauritz Altikardes. These two guys always want to prove their superior skill against the other, and such, the created the Battle of the Fishes, a public last longer-event between the two halibuts. Not only will the poker community learn who of these two is the best poker player, but the participators also have a golden opportunity to win a package to the Festival!

Next Thursday, 7th of November, the Battle of the Wishes will be played at 19:00 CET. Players can participate in the tournament through PAF Poker or Coolbet Poker, and you’d be very wise not to miss out on this opportunity.

The package that players will compete for includes:

  • A seven night stay at Crowne Hotel Plaza (or the Marriott) Bratislava for two between November 26th-December 3rd. Breakfast is included.
  • One €550 Buy-In (can be used either for the H.O.R.S.E poker event or the Main Event).
  • One €250 Buy-In (player’s choice).
  • One €125 Buy-In (player’s choice).

Except everything mentioned above, the lucky winner will also receive merch from both the Festival and PokerListings, as well as a “memorable food-session with the fishes”, which obviously is the grand prize in the package.

About the Festival Bratislava

This is not the first time the Festival comes to Bratislava. The amazing Banco Casino Bratislava will act as host for the live event, a venue that has hosted countless successful live poker events throughout the years. If you’ve never played poker in Slovakia before, the Festival will surely be a fitting first experience.

The Festival will run November 26th-December 3rd, and the tournament schedule leaves little to ask for. Except for the €550 Texas No Limit Hold ‘Em Main Event which has six start flights, there are a lot of other exciting tournaments. One of the most hyped ones is the H.O.R.S.E.S. The Festival didn’t feel that H.O.R.S.E. had enough games, so they added a second “S” at the end which stands for Sviten Special (also known as Drawmaha). The fact that the Festival really gives Mixed Games the attention it deserves makes it a very appreciated live poker event.

Also, let’s not forget about the €125 Festival Queens event December 1st, which will see a new poker queen be crowned.

As previously mentioned, there’s also a lot of other stuff besides poker that gives the event an additional spice. Roulette-, Slots- and Sportsbook Championships can also be distinguished in the tournament schedule, and there’s no doubt the Festival Bratislava 2023 will be an experience of a lifetime.
