The Battle of Malta is happening as we speak, and currently, the 233 remaining players, who all are in the money, are battling it out to reach it on the third playing day of the event. A whopping total of 1,542 entries were made on all day 1s.
The Battle of Malta crew visibly improved several things during this event. One of them, is a gigantic 27-meter screen which gave the players a perfect introduction of what the event stands for and all its recent winners. Another unique feature is a local talk show, where the crew will present exclusive insights into the event. All-in-all, they are moving forward alongside the staggering playing fields which get attracted edition after edition.
Perhaps one of the most enlightening introductions of this series is the collaboration with the renowned online poker room of America’s Card Room (ACR). Not only will they organize an online edition of the Battle of Malta, but they will also host online day 1 flights for the next Autumn edition of the event.
Total Prize Pool of €776,397
The Main Event of the Battle of Malta 2025 was set to €600 (€530+€70), and the organisation of the Battle of Malta, as well as Casino Malta, were eager to try and beat the attendance rate of last year’s edition (1,814). It began very promisingly on the first two opening flights, but the engine started to sputter on the rest of the opening flights, bringing this year’s total amount of entries to 1,542.
The total prize pool is set to €776,397, of which a reasonable portion was shared among the chip leaders of each opening flight. PokerListings Media Partner of Battle of Malta
The history of PokerListings with the brand Battle of Malta goes way back, all the way until the very first event of it all. After PokerListings had sold the brand, changes were made for the better, and the most anticipated live event on Maltese soil grew to the sky and beyond.
Since the previous Autumn edition of 2024, PokerListings has been connected again to the Battle of Malta, this time as the official media partner of the event. Unfortunately, we couldn’t be present this time around but surely will give acte de présence during the edition later this year. If you would like to follow all the poker action of the current ongoing event, make sure to check the live blog of the Battle of Malta itself.
