Banco Casino closed down the previous year with great tournaments such as the Spanish Poker Festival, where the €330 Main Event was won by Austrian Niki Kovacs for €38,610 after a 5-way deal. It was yet another success for Banco Casino as they gathered once again a field of close to 1,000 entries. With its singular events for Christmas and the Winter Classic, a successful year goes into the history books. The new year starts with a bang, where the Scandinavian Open Poker Championship will kick off on the 8th of January.

The Scandinavian Open Poker Championship hosts numerous events throughout the week until the 15th of January. The flagship poker tournament is of course the Main Event which has a buy-in of just €185, guaranteeing €250,000. On top of this, there are side events such as the Omaha tournaments, the High Roller event, the Mystery Bounty tournament, and various other mixed games. If this event comes too early for you, then there are still many options available to select one of the great upcoming events. At the end of January, the EA Poker Tour will make its debut in the Slovakian poker scene, and the bar has been set high for them with € 350,000 for the entire event in guaranteed prize pools. It will be the first of many stops of 2024 for the EA Poker Tour.

At the beginning of February, a local top-ranked poker tournament series will be on the schedule, namely the Banco Masters (Feb 5-12). This tournament series is being held multiple times per year and it is the pearl of Banco Casino itself.

In roughly two months, the Polish Poker Days (Feb 26 – Mar 4) will return to their home base in Bratislava. With the previous event going into the record books, where the Main Event had over 6,000 entries! This time they aimed even higher as they gathered forces with WPT Global, and raised the guaranteed prize pool to € 400,000!
