We are just one week shy of the WSOPC in Tallinn – the first ever WSOPC event in northern Europe! The extraordinary Olympic Park Casino will act host for this historic festival which is played during the period 14th-24th of September. The €1 000 000 GTD Mail Event aside, there are more than 40 side events which guarantees a lot of action-packed and enjoyable poker.
First Ever Queens of Tallinn During WSOPC!
While Queens of Tallinn has been an appreciated event in Estonia during Kings Of Tallinn previous years, the ladies-only event have never been played during the WSOPC, which is what makes this edition of the poker tournament more exciting than ever. There is no secret that poker historically has been a male-dominated sport, but the female scene is growing larger and larger every year with a lot of skilled and competitive prospects joining the scene.
During the WSPOC Tallinn, the Queens of Tallinn event will be played the 23rd of September, and the tournament will surely be an appreciated feature with its deep stack-structure of 20 000 chips and 20 minutes long blinds periods. It is also possible for late registration and rebuy during the first eight periods. The buy-in for the tournament is €130+€20.
Free-Of-Charge Satellite to Queens of Tallinn!
While the tournament will deal its first hand 15:00 GMT+3, there is a generous Freezeout satellite which starts at 12:00 the same day. Generous indeed: the tournament is of the Freeroll nature, which means that all you ladies are given the opportunity to win your way to the Queens of Tallinn event without risking so much as a mere cent. The top five in the satellite will receive a ticket to the tournament for free; make sure you do not miss out on this unique opportunity! The satellite has a somewhat speedier structure with its 10k start stack and 10 minutes blinds levels.
Previous Queens of Tallinn Champions
As previously mentioned, Queens of Tallinn has been a successful event throughout the years in the Estonian capital. In fact, one of the biggest ladies-only event was played earlier this year during the Kings of Tallinn. A total of 95 players entered the tournament which meant a prize pool of €9 120. After a three-way deal, it was fittingly enough the Estonian-native Ingrid Pall who conquered and claimed her €1 780 alongside the trophy. Tallinn-local players Kirsti Kirs (€2 145) and Evely Pihela (€1 655) finished 2nd and 3rd respectively; Pihela, who also finished third in another Queens of Tallinn event which was played July this year during the Kings of Tallinn Summer Showdown. Will she land yet another 3rd place finish during the WSOPC, or will this be her time to lift the trophy?
Yes, Queens Of Tallinn will surely be an interesting feature in the WSOP Circuit Tallinn schedule, and it’s possible that it will be the biggest ladies-only event through all time. For all the players, male or female, make sure to take a gander at the full tournament schedule and book your stay in Tallinn for what will be one of 2023’s best poker festivals.
We wish good luck to all players who will battle it out at the 2023 WSOP Circuit Tallinn!
