APT Main Event a Great Smash to Players

In partnership with the Vietnam Series of Poker (VSOP), APT Da Nang Vietnam continues with the 2022 Main Event. This is the most popular event, attracting 182 registered players. So far, the overall number of players has risen to 347 and is expected to grow while Day 2 registration is ongoing.

Winners of Main Event Day 1C
Vietnam dominated the Main Event Day 1C as their players took the top 3 spots. Manh Hung Dinh has a total of 257,400 stacks after concluding the eight 60-minute levels. Le Quoc Son garnered 240,500 stacks for Day 2. Duc Trung Vu, with a total of 164,700 stacks.
Following them are Vietnam’s Trinh Dinh Bien Cuong (111,100 stacks), Ha Manh Tuong (104,600 stacks), Tran Huy Hoang (104,000 stacks), and Bao Huy Thai (103,300 stacks). Completing the roster are Zou Zhi Guang of China, with 102,500 stacks; USA’s Nicholas Bond, with 98,400; and Terry Nguyen of Vietnam, with a total of 92,200 stacks.
Other key players in this event are Belgium’s Kristof Segers (50,400 stacks), Benjamin Sai of Singapore (27,300 stacks), and Ashish Munot of India with 17,700 stacks. Moreover, Nguyen Trung Phong of Vietnam and Remi Florent of Malta qualified twice, removing their lowest stacks from play.
89 Day 1C survivors will join the 33 survivors of Day 1B and Day 1A’s 34 survivors for the Day 2 competition.
Tran Nam Trung Dominated No Limit Hold’Em Single Day
Around $35,075 awaits the winner of No Limit Hold’em Single Day, which has attracted 123 participants. Many of the players are skilled in this event, and the competition for the pot is tight. There are familiar faces and names at the event, such as Farhad Aghayev, who is the current champion of APT Korea Incheon Main Event; Aditya Shushant, the World Series bracelet winner; Dan Nover, High Roller 6 Max Hyper runner-up; Feng Zhao if Singapore; and Mikiya Kudo, 2018 APT Manila Finale champion.
Vietnam’s Tran Nam Trung won a cash prize of $8,610. He defeated Bui Tuan Hoang, also from Vietnam. This victory led to his first APT title. Aditya Shushant and Dan Nover also got their share of the cash prize.

Event #16: Deep Stack Turbo Embraced by Duc Phuc Nguyen of Vietnam
Eighty players joined Event #16: Deep Stack Turbo, generating a total prize pool of $16,295. Duc Phuc Nguyen defeated Donnchadh Drumm of Ireland and won $4,425, including his maiden APT title. On the other hand, Drumm took home $2,950 and the 2nd place title for the said event.
Other key personalities with their fair share of cash prizes were Shane Hodges and Akshay Kapoor of India.
Tran Duy Binh and Sergey Indonok Takes Down Deep Stack Turbo Events #12 and #13
On Monday, APT featured two more events: Event #12 and Event #13; both are Deep Stack Turbo competitions. Event #12 was won by Tran Duy Binh of Vietnam, who dominated the 100-man strong game. Binh won $28,520 from the prize pool and defeated Corine Shi of Singapore, who won $7,380.
Sergey Indenok of Ukraine secured 1st place in Event #13 with the top prize of $5,085. He defeated Keita Minami and dominated the game that 95 participants played.
