Alejandro “Papo MC” Lococo Makes Triton Debut and Wins $500K Triton Million ($12,070,000)

Alejandro “Papo MC” Lococo secured his biggest career cash, his first eight-figure payout, and a WSOP bracelet. In a post-victory interview, Lococo shared that Adrian Mateos convinced him to travel to the Bahamas and play in the tournament. Here’s how the action unfolded.

Alejandro “Papo MC” Lococo: Amateur or Professional?

The WSOP Triton Million Bahamas featured 37 pairs of players, each consisting of one invited amateur and one professional. Lococo was listed as an Invitee, paired with Pro Player Joao Vieira.

Alejandro “Papo MC” Lococo is a freestyle rapper, battle MC, and blogger from Argentina. His YouTube channel has over 2.54 million subscribers, with his videos regularly surpassing 200K views. He has been active in the rap scene since 2011.

Lococo began playing poker in 2016 and became a PokerStars ambassador i 2021. His previous best offline result was a 7th place finish in the 2021 $10K WSOP Main Event ($1,225,000). Lococo has also won five EPT trophies.

In March 2022, after winning the €1K Eureka Main Event in Prague, a journalist asked whether he considered himself more of a poker player or a rapper. Lococo confidently responded, “Both.”

Final Table Action at the $500K Triton Million

Starting from Day 2, Alejandro “Papo MC” Lococo stayed near the top of the chip counts. He entered final table with the fourth-largest stack of 39 big blinds. In 5-max, Lococo won a 37.5 BB pot against Ben Heath. On a board of Q 2 9 Q 3 , Lococo bet all three streets, with Heath calling down with 7 7 , only to see Lococo’s trips.

This hand propelled Lococo to second place with 56 BB, trailing only Daniel Dvoress with 60 BB.

Ben Heath, down to 4 BB, went into survival mode. Despite being down to just one-third of a big blind at one point, Heath clawed back with some consecutive all-in wins, climbing to third place with 20 BB.

From the five-handed stage onward, Lococo dominated the table, eliminating opponents one by one. In the three-handed stage, Lococo amassed 87.5 BB, while his two remaining opponents combined for just 30 BB.

The heads-up began with Lococo holding 84 BB against Ben Heath’s 12 BB. The heads-up didn’t last even half an hour.
