888poker Back as Main WSOP Sponsor, Exclusive Online Qualifier

888poker Back as Main WSOP Sponsor, Exclusive Online Qualifier

For the third year in a row, 888poker will be the main sponsor and sole provider of online satellites for poker’s biggest event.

888poker and the WSOP announced yesterday they have renewed their partnership for another year to put 888poker at the center of the felt when poker’s signature event opens its doors in Vegas this summer.

And this year there’ll more 888 patches on players’ sleeves than ever before as 888poker is sending more online qualifiers than ever.

Exclusive Satellite Provider

“WSOP is delighted to have renewed our agreement with 888poker for the third year running,” said WSOP Executive Director, Ty Stewart.

Welcome to the WSOP.

“We’ve seen 888poker really up the stakes in the past few years, with a refreshing new online and offline approach which aims to give the power back to the players.

“This shared vision and love of the game means it’s a natural partnership for both our brands. I believe this mutually beneficial approach will continue to enhance our user experience and wish our players the best of luck in the Tournament!”

As the official sponsor that means 888poker is the only online poker room that will offer satellites to the 2017 WSOP, so if you want to take part in the most important event in the poker world, you know where to go.

This year that also applies to the WSOP Europe, which will return in November and take place in the King’s Casino in Rozvadov.

Play for the Main or the Crazy Eights

In 2015 128 players qualified online for the Main Event on 888poker. Last year there were more than 250, including November Niners Griffin Benger and Fernando PonsTommy Yates didn’t make the November Nine but he did turn 1c into a $19,500 Main Event cash.

Worked for these guys.

This year there will be even more qualifiers and satellites are already running.

The WSOP Main Event package has a value of $12,500 but you can also qualify for 888poker’s branded signature event – the Crazy Eights.

This event is played 8-handed, has a buy-in of $888 and a guaranteed first prize of $888,888.

It was introduced last year and won by recreational player Hung Le, who was playing his first big live event ever and will always be remembered for his final call with pocket deuces

The Crazy Eights will take place July 1-4 while the main event starts the following weekend on Saturday, July 8.

How to Get There

Everybody who’s ever picked up a deck of cards wants to play the WSOP Main Event. Ask anyone who has. It’s the most exciting poker tournament on the planet and 888poker has several paths for you to get there.

Every poker player’s dream.

The Steps

Make your way to the $1,050 direct qualifier through the steps satellites. These are running all the time and the lowest buy-in you can start with is just 1 cent.

You can join at any level that suits your bankroll with multiple options leading up to the direct qualifier step.

The Ultimate Package

This is a special series for players in Germany, Canada and Switzerland. Pay 1 cent to play and fight through to the final.

The winner will get a full package for the WSOP main event including hotel and travel expenses.

The Crazy Eights

Play in the 888poker’s own event. The package for this tournament is worth $3,000 and the direct qualifier is only $160 to play. Again, you can make your way to the qualifier through the steps.

The size of this tournament last year was similar to the main event so this will give you the authentic feeling of being part of the biggest poker event of the year.
