Lubos Wendl held one of the biggest stacks in the room at the first break. He still has a massive stack but just lost some of his chips to Simon Heimbold as follows.
Both Heimbold and Robert Verkaar check-called a bet of 6,500 by Wendl the Q 7 3 flop with 15,000 already in the pot from preflop betting. Heimbold and Verkaar checked again on the 10 turn and Wendl bet 10,000. Heimbold called and Verkaar folded.
Heimbold checked one last time after the A river completed the board. Wendl bet 10,000 and Heimbold called. Heimbold turned over Q J which won the hand with the same pair but a better kicker with Wendl showing Q 9 .
Lubos Wendl – 300,000
Simon Heimbold – 175,000
