Ramon Colillas Bags Big on Day 1c

Ramon Colillas was the star of the show on Friday after bagging a chip-leading stack of 18,245,000 on Day 1c in the partypoker MILLIONS Europe €3,300 Main Event at Casino Barcelona.

Colillas got a big stack after the dinner break when his ace-queen got there against ace-king. He then put pressure on his opponents hand after hand near the end of the day to extend his stack for Day 2. The Spanish poker pro has had massive success in online tournaments during the pandemic and has had some huge cashes in live play with more than $6 million in tournament earnings tracked at The Hendon Mob.

Four other players bagged more than 10 million in chips including Gabriele Re (12,230,000), Alex Lynskey (11,685,000), Mitchell Hynam (11,280,000), and Emmanuel Rouvet (10,650,000). Jelle Moene (8,675,000), former British footballer Anthony Gardner (7,000,000), Arthur Conan (6,945,000), and local hero Sergio Alonso (2,630,000) are among the other big names advancing to Day 2 from the Day 1c field.

The day ended after Re ousted Patryk Slusarek on the money bubble when his jacks held against nine-seven. The remaining 22 players were in the money for at least a €5,000 min-cash with much more to come if they go deep.

Other notables to hit the rail on Day 1c included partypoker ambassadors John Duthie and retired boxer Carl Froch. Will Kassouf, 2022 Irish Poker Open Main Event runner-up Kyle Maguire, and partypoker MILLIONS Europe €10,300 High Roller champion Teun Mulder were also unable to find a bag on Day 1c.

Final Day 1c Chip Counts

The action will continue on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Day 2. Blinds will be rolled back to 60,000/120,000 with a big blind ante of 120,000 thanks to one of the Online Day 1’s finishing the earliest.
