We chatted with several of the players on the break including Shaun Decesare who shared a hand that brought his stack up to 63,000 in chips.

Decesare shared that he flopped a set with eights after it went four-way to the jack-ten-eight flop with two clubs. Decesare bet 1,100 and one of his opponents raised to 4,000. Decesare called and another eight came on the turn to improve Decesare to quads.

Decesare check-called a bet of 9,000 before the nine of clubs completed the board on the river. Both players checked and Decesare shared that he was obviously hoping that his opponent would bet the river in that spot. His opponent mucked his hand after he saw Decesare’s quad eights.
