Gerianne Dijkstra kicked off the final hand of Level 28 by opening for 250,000 under the gun. Aaron Frese put most of his dozen big blind stack or so in the pot from the big blind. Dijkstra put him in for the rest and the Dutch rail went nuts when they saw the cards.
Aaron Frese: A 9
Gerianne Dijkstra: A A
Frese nailed two pair on the A 7 9 flop but was drawing super thin as Dijkstra improved to the top set.
“It over!” shouted the Dutch rail after Frese was drawing dead on the K turn and Frese was given his cashier slip after the 7 river completed the board.
Both the players and all the reporters took a break after this hand for the final table to be set up. We will now report on a 30-minute delay the rest of the way to not give away any spoilers.
