Triton Highroller Series returns in February with $200k tournaments

Triton Highroller

The Triton Highroller series took a pandemic break for two years. Next February, fans of ultra-high stakes tournaments and 6+ Hold’em will finally be treated to new tournaments in the upcoming Triton series.

It is possibly – hopefully – a return to normality in the poker world as more and more major events resume normal operations after almost two years now.

The Triton Super High Roller Series has picked a very special destination for its return. From 23 February, it will take place in Bali. A total of 11 events are scheduled, the lowest buy-in is $30,000 and the most expensive tournament costs $200,000. In fact, there are two events – a nosebleed hold’em festival followed by a short-deck festival where 6+ hold’em is played.

The Triton Highroller Series was launched in 2016 as a series of tournaments with six-figure buy-ins for a select circle of players. Fedor Holz, Phil Ivey, Tony G, Koray Aldemir and Dan Cates, among others, have won titles in several dozen tournaments. The absolute high flyer of the series, however, is the American Bryn Kenney, who won two titles, reached the money ranks 7 times and collected a total of more than 30 million dollars in this series.

The Triton Series has also seems to be getting strong competition. A tournament with a buy-in of an incredible $1,000,000 is planned for April 2022 as part of the BTC Miami. This tournament is still only in the planning phase, but many grandees of the poker scene have already expressed interest in this event.
