Finnish Pro Wins Bombay High Stakes Week Opener, Estonian High Roller Ottomar Ladva Takes Third!

From February 13th to February 20th, the Bombay High Stakes Week poker festival will take place in Tallinn. The live poker festival will feature eight high-stakes tournaments, with buy-ins reaching up to €50,000. The prestigious event will be hosted at the Bombay Club, located at Rataskaevu 5 in the heart of Tallinn’s Old Town.

The action kicked off with the €5,000 Warm-Up event, where world-renowned Finnish poker pro Ville-Petteri Wahlbeck claimed victory. Wahlbeck, a former world champion (2009), outlasted a tough field, securing €62,250 after defeating Czech poker star Martin Kabrhel heads-up. Known for his relentless table talk and psychological warfare, Kabrhel settled for €40,600, while Estonian high roller Ottomar Ladva, fresh off his 2024 EPT Barcelona €25K victory, took €28,000 for third place.

The festival has attracted some of the biggest names in poker, including Niklas ‘Lena900’ Astedt, Casimir Seire, Jesse May, Vladas Tamasauskas, Teun Mulder, Tom Vogelsang, Andras Nemeth, and many more. Among the Estonian players, Ottomar Ladva and Markkos Ladev were joined by Igor Pihela Sr. & Jr., Henri Käsper, Ragnar Toompere, Taago Tamm, and Bombay Club owner Tim Heath.
